We set sandwiches on the dining room sideboard at 6. We don't stay after dinner, not after it begins to get dark. We leave before the dark. We couldn't hear you request sandwiches In the night. No one could. No one lives any nearer than town. No one will come any nearer than that with sandwiches. In the night. In the dark.

I saw a YouTube video once of a “big girl” suburban white mom making a snack treat for her two kids. It was a bowl of canned chili mixed evenly with Velveeta cheese, heated in the microwave, and served inside a ring of (previously frozen) mini-pigs-in-a-blanket toasted in the oven with more cheese melted on top of them. You dipped the cheesy pigs in blankets into the cheesy canned chili and ate them like that. Ugh.
When she called her two kids to, “come and get it!” They were of course two overweight little kids. They gobbled it up giggling.
I love chili and hot dogs and cheese but THIS was straight-up awful. She said at the end, “The kids love this before we go to evening church services.”
Uuuughhhhhh... Imagine the smell in that chapel.
THAT is the kind of thing I think of when I think of “white food.”

OP; I can assure you that Blacks, Asians and native-blooded Latinos eat turkey, chicken, duck, goose and other whole, oven cooked(and rotisserie-style)on holidays and for celebratory events. That's not a hallmark of whiteness.
Black ppl eat hot dogs like it's going out of style, and they're pretty popular Korean, Japanese and Filipino street food.
Breaded chicken and Hamburger Helper are bad white American foods. I think I'd classify greek yogurt the same way. Ever since its inception it's been very trendy with Graysons, despite if it tastes lousy.

People are defining "white" in very different ways. But given OP's list I think the inquiry is to share the typical white, mid-western, middle class/lower middle class, protestant food.
With this definition, I submit nothing is more typical of this group than jello with things floating in it. And perhaps with a dollop of mayo on the top.
