For the more literary DLers, this sounds very interesting. “Can You Ever Forgive Me” is one of the few movies I really enjoyed in the last couple of years and this looks to have some of the same pathos and humor about it. It will be good to see Sigs back in the saddle again playing a character she was born to play. Do you think Andie is happy for her daughter or jealous that she has already surpassed her mom’s career as an actress? She’s so outside Hollywood I’ve never gotten a reading of where she stands on all that?
“My Salinger Year” Movie, Sigs Weaver returns to form.

Andie MacDowell has been in real hits and was truly good in a few films, winning prestigious awards. That’s not something her slow daughter has accomplished.

Joyce Maynard is dreadful. Salinger was dreadful. No fucks to give regardless of how good this movie is or isn't.

Siggy is bringing the elder Katherine Parker teas!

Okay, just saw the trailer. I’m disappointed. Siggy is not the lead and Andie’s daughter comes off like a wet blanket in a The Devil Wears Prada ripoff.

I wanted to make a Wilson Bethel joke, then realized he hadn't been conceived yet. I'll just post a pic at what was to come.
