Non-Dairy Creamer, or Half and Half?

Fellow obese prostitution whores, what’s worse — NDC or half and half?

Which one is worse for your health?

Which one tastes better?

Which would you use???

by Anonymousreply 40February 24, 2021 9:02 PM

Best is heavy whipping cream. You only need a little and it has zero sugar, unlike the others.

by Anonymousreply 1February 19, 2021 9:25 PM

I love Carnation half and half. It ruined me for anything else. If it isn't available I will not have my coffee.

by Anonymousreply 2February 19, 2021 9:25 PM

What is so special about carnation half and half?

by Anonymousreply 3February 19, 2021 9:26 PM

Both creamer and half and half typically have 20 calories per tablespoon. But creamer is some processed frakenfood, so I would go with half and half.

Of course, you could just learn to enjoy coffee black.

by Anonymousreply 4February 19, 2021 9:28 PM

Get dairy 1/2 and 1/2, not that crap fake stuff with all kinds of sugars and emulsifiers, etc. Plus it tastes better IMO.

by Anonymousreply 5February 19, 2021 9:31 PM

I can use either but tend to buy flavored non dairy creamer, that way I can just use a little and not add sugar.

by Anonymousreply 6February 19, 2021 9:41 PM

This whole thread is so American. Nowhere else in the world are either of these items an option.

by Anonymousreply 7February 19, 2021 9:49 PM

That is true r7. I remember one of my trips through Europe a friend was asking for half and half before they quickly realized that only exists stateside.

by Anonymousreply 8February 19, 2021 9:53 PM

A splash of half and half no sugar please.

by Anonymousreply 9February 19, 2021 9:55 PM

It's good ol' heavy whipping cream or nothing for me.

by Anonymousreply 10February 19, 2021 11:34 PM

Non dairy creamers always taste watery anyway. I just use 2 percent milk.

by Anonymousreply 11February 19, 2021 11:40 PM

Read which one has corn syrup or sugar in it, then not that one.

by Anonymousreply 12February 19, 2021 11:42 PM

Half and Half - regular. I've seen Nonfat Half and Half and I can't even imagine how it tastes. No sugar.

by Anonymousreply 13February 20, 2021 12:06 AM

[quote] I just use 2 percent milk.

It looks and tastes like water with white dye in it.

by Anonymousreply 14February 20, 2021 8:44 AM

I only use skim milk.

by Anonymousreply 15February 20, 2021 8:59 AM

There's no point in putting 2% or skim milk in your coffee unless you just want to water it down. Non-dairy creamer is awful; read the ingredients sometime.

Half and half or heavy cream (just a teaspoon, because it's very potent).

prefer full on cream. in order though, full on cream, half and half and whole milk.

by Anonymousreply 17February 20, 2021 10:24 AM

Sometimes I have coffee with my neighbor. She likes to use Great Value sugar free French vanilla powdered creamer. It tastes like a potpourri bomb.

My best friend uses that powdered French Vanilla powder, but he cuts it by mixing 1/2 French Vanilla creamer with 1/2 regular non flavored creamer. Ive been trying for years to get him to start using whipping cream & one of the FV coffee syrups. I've used those before and they're quite nice, in moderation. But he's stuck on that powdered crap.

by Anonymousreply 19February 20, 2021 11:03 AM

I'm light no sugar

by Anonymousreply 20February 20, 2021 12:43 PM

I always keep a quart of heavy cream in the refrigerator. But I don't drink coffee, so there's that.

The cream is typically for soups.

by Anonymousreply 21February 20, 2021 12:48 PM

oat milk

by Anonymousreply 22February 20, 2021 12:53 PM

Have you seen Lewis Black on the subject of oat milk, R22? ;)

by Anonymousreply 23February 20, 2021 12:56 PM

I used to use half and half. Then when I had to start watching my weight and cholesterol, I switched to nonfat milk, heated and whipped with a frother.

by Anonymousreply 24February 20, 2021 1:00 PM

I do not lighten coffee.

I presume this practice is favored by churls, cretins, and randos?

by Anonymousreply 25February 20, 2021 1:01 PM

Heavy cream.

It’s like a meal replacement.

by Anonymousreply 26February 20, 2021 1:03 PM

This tastes amazing in coffee.

While shopping in a hurry I accidentally grabbed some fat-free half and half by mistake. It tasted vile. I tossed out the rest of it.

by Anonymousreply 29February 20, 2021 5:45 PM

There's a difference amongst non-dairy creamers. Yes, some seem like Frankenfood. Others are just nut or oat milks.

I've been on a quest for a good non-dairy creamer. Alas, still using half 'n' half. (Tried the Oatly, too.)

Heavy cream leaves beads of oil or fat at the top. I prefer half 'n' half.

by Anonymousreply 30February 20, 2021 5:50 PM

i'm not ashamed to admit it--I love non-dairy creamer. I hate the taste of dairy in my coffee.

by Anonymousreply 31February 20, 2021 7:38 PM

Half and half or evaporated milk

by Anonymousreply 32February 24, 2021 8:08 PM

i use the SILK brand of almond milk creamer? don't know if it's good, bad or okay to use in my coffee? course i also only have 1 cup a day...

by Anonymousreply 33February 24, 2021 8:10 PM

Non dairy is nothing but chemicals.

by Anonymousreply 34February 24, 2021 8:12 PM

non dairy is full of chemicals, dairy is also bad for you and bad for the planet? so what to do???

by Anonymousreply 35February 24, 2021 8:16 PM

Coffeemate

by Anonymousreply 36February 24, 2021 8:17 PM

I use vanilla oatmilk creamer lol

I don't like non-dairy, seems processed. Half and half is ok but I'm lactose intolerant!

by Anonymousreply 37February 24, 2021 8:19 PM

I also use oat milk. It’s the only non dairy option that tastes good to me in coffee.

by Anonymousreply 38February 24, 2021 8:20 PM

[quote]non dairy is full of chemicals, dairy is also bad for you and bad for the planet? so what to do???

Go with the half and half, is what I'd do. I'm certainly not going to choose the stuff that's nothing but chemicals because of some vague assertion that "dairy is bad for you."

by Anonymousreply 39February 24, 2021 8:32 PM

What R1 said. 1 tbls organic HC keeps me full for hours.
