John Calvin celebrated his 75th birthday just barely a month ago (28 November 2022).
Can find nothing indicating he has died, just that JC stopped acting around 1995.
If rumors are true (that John Calvin is gay) maybe he just settled down with someone to lead a low key life. His name doesn't seem to be connected with anything industry wise since his last acting gig. There are no mentions of spouse, children, professional degrees or associations (such as became an attorney, doctor, or even real estate agent..). Mr. Calvin truly seems to have just dropped off face of the planet.

John Calvin worked nearly every year since about 1971 in both film and television.
If money was managed well he could "retire" somewhat comfortably from acting and live a quiet life doing something else low key.

According to public records, he lives in a town in Washington state, near the Canadian border. Doesn't seem to have social media and nothing to really indicate what he might have done post his acting career.
