The choreography was great. I’m not a fan of The Weeknd but it was a fun, energetic halftime show.

It was better than I thought. I knew most songs but others were just a blank for me. I realize I'm no longer on top of the pop music charts.

It lacked the oomph of previous years, but it was refreshing to not see another diva in booty-choking outfits flinging their hair extensions around. That's gotten so tired.

Mentioning Prince and Michael makes me wonder why they didn't do an all-hologram Covid show. They could have Whitney, too.

When was the last time a single artist played? It seems the past several years there has always been other artists who pop up on the stage with the main act.

I don't think The Weekend was a great choice, but he did have the biggest single of 2020.

They should have had a few artists perform - nothing wrong with having 4 artists performing their top hits.

It'll be interesting when he starts doing interviews soon enough. What will his comments on the pandemic be? Will he still be pretending to be "extra careful"? Maybe even double down on it? Or will he know that he has been caught enough not to get away with it?

I thought it was visually interesting but the sound was bad. The fact it was moody and dark fits his persona. I can’t imagine him with Vegas style dancers or sound a duet with JLo. He was a risky choice for the halftime show, different than the types of acts that generally perform.

Wasnt great, but cmon, maroon 5 and coldplay were pretty bad. The Weeknd is usually good in TV performances, but he was out of breath, he doesnt have that arena headlining experience that the well reviewed super bowl performers have. Lady Gaga, Beyonce, bruno mars and even katy freaking perry who cant sing seemed comfortable with big stadiums.

I thought he did perfectly fine. I wasn’t impressed by anything in the last few years. They’re always underwhelming. Actually, the halftimes are stupid because they always try to be too big and the singer is always a little nervous and you can see them holding back. There’s too much going on but not enough.

Abel was great tonight. The Weeknd is a creative enterprise with strong and personal visuals and that's what we got tonight, along wth a nod to Siouxsie Sioux and The Banshees.

I thought the show was fantastic! Fireworks were great also. The background was good also. And I knew most of the songs unlike some posters who chimed in above -- but none or few songs were his own songs except obviously his big hit at the conclusion? It was mostly a medley of excerpts of songs from other artists?

R61 - yes - and they've done that a lot in the past. I feel like choosing the Weeknd as the solo and only artist was some sort of paying respect to BLM, however misguided that was.

All of the "performers" were black, except the white country guy on the SSB, trying to " make up" up for the Kaepernick fiasco. The worst thing anyone or any organization can be today is perceived as racist against black people.
