Charlie Hunnam & Aidan Gillen's sex scenes
by Anonymous | reply 80 | July 8, 2022 6:27 AM |
Go watch the original QAF OP.
It's a short series so not a big time investment, and easily better than the American remake.
by Anonymous | reply 1 | January 18, 2021 2:58 AM |
My boyfriend and I used to watch it together all cuddled up in bed together when we first dated.
Well worth watching.
by Anonymous | reply 2 | January 18, 2021 3:34 AM |
Boyfriend? Still a bridesmaid after all these years, R2?
by Anonymous | reply 3 | January 18, 2021 3:37 AM |
I feel Charlie Hunnam (Justin) was easily hot enough to get a guy as hot as good looking as Brian in the US version (Gale Harold). The Justin in the US version (Randy Harrison) was basic as hell for all the drama he caused. The Brian in the UK version, called Stweart (Aidan Gillen), had swagger but was not that hot. The actor really grew into his looks by the time he stared on Game of Thrones, but back during the QAF UK days, he should not have been pulling guys as hot as Charlie Hunnam.
Why the US version didn't find a twink as hot as young Charlie Hunnam says everything we needed to know about the showrunners' questionable taste. This is why QAF US is not revered while SATC is still pumping out new episodes in a revamp all the way into 2021.

Do they suddenly switch to speaking another language in OP’s clip?
by Anonymous | reply 6 | January 18, 2021 3:57 AM |
I think they had trouble finding someone; I think Randy Harrison was 23 when he was cast to play Justin at 17 (or was he 16?)
He certainly looked like a teenager. He was fine enough. The writers wrote to his strengths -- or lack thereof ; when he tried to get a job as a go-go boy, the manager said he had no body...Justin shot back; I'm blond and I have a great ass; you'd be surprised how far that gets me.
by Anonymous | reply 7 | January 18, 2021 3:59 AM |
I watch the original UK version every few years or so. It really drives home how terrible the US version was.
by Anonymous | reply 9 | January 18, 2021 5:37 AM |
I've never see the UK version, but after that scene post in this thread I may have to.
I didn't hate the US version; I had nothing to compare it too.
I related to Michael b/c of the comic books and I've followed around a few Brians in my day.
Not to mention getting hung up on my chiropractor. Or was it my massage therapist?
I thought Gale was incredible; Sharon Gless was great; frankly, I liked everyone except Hal Sparks and Randy Harrison
I thought Jennifer, Justin's mother, was great.
by Anonymous | reply 10 | January 18, 2021 6:01 AM |
I thought the UK one was better, but hey, just to have a seminal series about us gays was great to have back then.
A lot of that culture is gone now, perhaps all will go in a post Covid world.
by Anonymous | reply 11 | January 18, 2021 8:43 AM |
I was in my teens in London when the original QAF was on telly. Everyone watched it. It was obviously quite controversial as it introduced rimming to an unsuspecting UK public but it wasn't the niche programme it was in the US. It was proper mainstream.
by Anonymous | reply 12 | January 18, 2021 8:59 AM |
many English language series and movies about young attractive people seem sexier when dubbed into a Romance language.
by Anonymous | reply 13 | January 18, 2021 9:19 AM |
I believe Charlie Hunnam’s character was under age jail bait, wasn’t he?
by Anonymous | reply 14 | January 18, 2021 9:28 AM |
Does that mean whoever had sex with him in the series was a .... *gasp* .... “pedophile”, R14?
by Anonymous | reply 15 | January 18, 2021 9:31 AM |
pedophile are attracted to children. a legal age young person having sex with a underage person is not a pedophile - just possibly a criminal - depends on what the law say about age difference that might make it ok.
by Anonymous | reply 16 | January 18, 2021 9:41 AM |
Hunnam claims he was discovered by the always elusive lady CD when he was just 19 yo working in a shoe store when he was cast in QAF. He had zero acting experience. Assume he was just behaving and had big feet.
by Anonymous | reply 17 | January 18, 2021 1:21 PM |
R14 The character was 15 and the gay sex age limit at the time in the UK was 18, so yes. It wasn't reduced to 16 years old till 2000. The hetero age limit in the UK is 16 so a 15 year old having sex isn't that shocking but the age difference and the fact it was technically illegal added to the controversy.

What's interesting, since we are on the topic of Charlie, is that despite being a Brit in LA he's maintained his looks and his skin isn't damaged from the sun. He still has his hair and didn't age like a banana. The guy really takes care of himself and has aged nicely for a golden boy twink.
He made it in Hollywood but it took some time. He married an actress that he met while waiting for an audition. I think it was all very quick. They were together for a couple of years and smart enough not to have children. They split then soon after he gets Sons of Anarchy which was on the air too damn long.
He's not a very emotive actor but when you want a hunk with a heart of gold that looks like he can beat your ass like an ex-con, he's your man. I remember jerking off to him when I was younger. Green Street Hooligans is still his best work. Sexy sexy man twink turned zaddy.
by Anonymous | reply 19 | January 18, 2021 4:09 PM |
Define making it in Hollywood because I've never heard of him.
by Anonymous | reply 20 | January 18, 2021 4:52 PM |
Far superior to the US version in every respect. I wish they had made more episodes.
by Anonymous | reply 21 | January 18, 2021 4:57 PM |
I wonder what it would be like if they did a series of it set in 2019, just before the pandemic.
I can't see it being as interesting as the times were back then.
by Anonymous | reply 22 | January 19, 2021 8:49 AM |
R20 You should have your hearing checked.

Aidan Gillen told his mother that the rimming was done by CGI.
by Anonymous | reply 25 | January 20, 2021 8:00 PM |
I think it was actually his brother in law who told his mother (AG's) it was angles, it just looked liked he was rimming from 'that' camera angle! lol

[Quote] Hunnam claims he was discovered by the always elusive lady CD when he was just 19 yo working in a shoe store when he was cast in QAF. He had zero acting experience.
No true. He'd been in "Byker Grove," a kid's show on the BBC.
by Anonymous | reply 27 | January 28, 2021 12:13 AM |
Surely Charlie has had sexual dalliances with men, right? Don’t tell me Aidan Gillen is the only man whose had the pleasure of locking lips with Charlie.
by Anonymous | reply 28 | January 28, 2021 3:06 AM |
I didn’t realize Littlefinger appeared in a gay sex scene. Why did you keep it a secret?
by Anonymous | reply 29 | January 28, 2021 3:48 AM |
If Guy Ritchie wanted to be adventurous he should have made a King Arthur where Arthur got it on with one of his merry men played by Aidan.

When did Charlie have his Marilyn beauty mark removed?
by Anonymous | reply 32 | January 29, 2021 3:24 PM |
A friend who worked in casting in Canada told me that the original actor hired to play Justin for the US version was much better looking. When it came time to start filming, suddenly his parents objected to all of the sex scenes and he quit even though he was of age.
The project was set to go, so they ended up with Randy Harrison who had been cut early on in the process.
by Anonymous | reply 33 | January 29, 2021 4:03 PM |
Aiden Gillen = big beer can cock.
by Anonymous | reply 34 | January 29, 2021 4:20 PM |
Stuart was brave to rim Nathan before showering him. He must have been rank between those cheeks
by Anonymous | reply 35 | January 29, 2021 4:38 PM |
I didn't know that Aidan Gillen was in that KA movie. Not every day that two Brits end up maintaining their looks. This is a great what if moment if thet did a quick series renewal of like 6 episodes of where they all ended up.
by Anonymous | reply 36 | January 29, 2021 4:51 PM |
Hunnam was truly sexy, mostly because he was a proper lad, very straight acting, and obviously handsome as hell. Harrison was a little prancing queen from the start, and him being gay was just given unlike with Hunnam. There wasn't any mystery about it. Harrison also had slightly strange proportions, I mean his head looks too big for the body. One might obviously say I'm being homophobic for finding the straight boy acting gay more interesting but what can I say, I grew up a femme kid among het boys and it was them I was crushing on in my teens.
That said I really enjoyed the US version. I loved how many episodes they were churning out. Of course it was practically a silly soap with many times idiotic storylines but I didn't care, it was glorious to see a truly gay show made with a proper budget and good production values. I liked the cast, even Harrison, but the show's heart was Gale Harold. His Brian was exactly the right kind of hedonistic gay god aka narcissistic asshole we've all met.
BTW, to the person talking about SATC, QAF US has been on the verge of rebooting for quite some time now. However the reality is that SATC has always been HUGE globally, QAF only a curiosity. Still, it will be on NBC's streaming service, and will most probably have high production values.

No, of course not.

I also prefer the UK QAF. Although it does have a few problems. To be honest, why do they try to shoe-horn in lesbian storylines? The whole Stuart and the lesbian parent thing just took time away from a better story. There's enough material there that they didn't have to keep adding storylines.
My favorite scene is when Stuart camps it up when the police come calling. That scene is hilarious. The police tell him about the woman making the complaint and he says, "Oh, get her!" Aidan Gillen really nailed that role.
I think the hottest sex scene goes to Cucumber where Con O'Neill is fucking Freddy Fox. It's a weird scene because the Freddy Fox character is going mental. But it's still the best executed sex scene out of gay tv. Maybe somebody with better research skills can find the clip.

It's around the 24 minute mark.
My favorite Cucumber sex scene is Freddie and his teacher.

Charlies was in that one season Judd Apatow show Undeclared. It doesn't seem to be available anywhere though. It had a good cast but it was just pretty good.

Freddie Fox was also in King Arthur.
by Anonymous | reply 44 | January 29, 2021 7:54 PM |
The US show, in its first season, copied the UK plots (I believe the only exception was when Ted survives the drug overdose). After that it went off the rails and embraced its trashy soap appeal. The UK one had a great start, but the end of the first season and the entire second season are pretty much unwatchable. For me, it ruined the UK show as a whole.
The only good things the UK show did was the steamy sex at the beginning of the show's run (which was gone by the end of the season and didn't return for season two) and the D.I.S.C.O eulogy.
by Anonymous | reply 45 | January 29, 2021 8:17 PM |
I watched and enjoyed UNDECLARED during its run, but when I've watched clips of it on Youtube recently, I don't understand what I saw in it.
Charlie apparently had a good time of it. Since there was an overlap of "Freaks and Geeks" and "Undeclared" castmembers, when there was a joint reunion, Charlie sent in a video message as he was away filming. Jason Segal even wrote the role - that ultimately went to Russell Brand- in "Forgetting Sarah Marshall" for Charlie. He turned it down.

[quote] introduced rimming to an unsuspecting UK public
That clip merely showed one tongue touching one buttock cheek.
It didn't show one tongue IN anus. The concept of tongue in anus was a new thing to the mass of unsuspecting homosexuals.

R6 That 5 minute montage condenses all the interesting footage from the 4 hour show.
We might have thought the OK QAF was good back in those primitive days but if we saw it fresh today we'd say it the usual obnoxious look-at-me stuff from the obnoxious look-at-me Mr Davies.
by Anonymous | reply 48 | January 29, 2021 9:49 PM |
You are in love, R15. You're using verbs in the present tense to describe something that happened more than a decade ago.
Charlie's pouty lips have made time stand still for you, haven't they?
by Anonymous | reply 49 | January 29, 2021 9:52 PM |
Have you seen it, R34?
All I saw were two flat buttocks.

[quote] The actor really grew into his looks by the time he stared on Game of Thrones, but back during the QAF UK days, he should not have been pulling guys as hot as Charlie Hunnam.
Hotness has much more to do with swagger than with beauty, if you've not learned that in life yet.

What I found interesting is that during the scene where Stewart is starting to undress Nathan, and the camera rotates 360 degrees, the actors are leaning into each other, and their crotches are no where near touching. Could have been because both actors were uncomfortable (?) or just the way the scene was shot, but I always found that strange.
And then Nathan is in bed while Stewart is "rimming" him, with Aiden Quinn licking the small of Charlie's back.
So who knows???

The original QAF was hot as fire and very well done. The American remake is one of the worst things ever on television.

Has he done any frontal nude scenes?
by Anonymous | reply 56 | February 14, 2021 5:10 AM |
Charlie and Rami were in that bad "Papillon" remake.
by Anonymous | reply 57 | February 14, 2021 5:24 AM |
Charlie and Craig Kelley were the only actors from the UK version who were actually more attractive than their counterparts in the US version, at least IMHO.
Of course, it didn't help any that I wanted to ring Justin's neck without about 90 seconds of him being introduced and that Michael was (while definitely cute) also whiney and annoying.
Charlie should have had a role as a male whore in Baelish's employ on Game of Thrones, that would have been funny.

What about the lez couple in both versions? Who were the actresses?
by Anonymous | reply 59 | February 14, 2021 6:03 AM |
A reboot of the US version is in the works and it’s being written by Stephen Dunn, who directed the gay indie film Closet Monster (which starred DL Fave Connor Jessup).

That was the closest I had got to seeing gay anything when I watched this when it first aired on Ch4, in my bedroom back at home worried sick my parents might come into the room and ask what I was watching. Charlie Hunnam sort of did some kind of bursting out of his school uniform thing after QAF, did not see him anything for years and then suddenly he had gone from twink to Viking! Years later I tried watching the American version, but it seemed a pale imitation and just did nothing for me.
by Anonymous | reply 75 | March 27, 2021 8:36 PM |
The American version WAS a pale imitation, but it ran a lot longer, and it was important for the time as it was the only thing like it on TV, or even close. It had some good moments, but was mostly terrible, especially in hindsight.
by Anonymous | reply 76 | March 27, 2021 8:38 PM |
horrid
by Anonymous | reply 77 | March 27, 2021 8:40 PM |
Yes I would say the American/Canadian vs was important for the time no doubt. I remember trying to watch it sneakily in college when my house mates were gone on the weekends. It prob for me the first time a saw actual gay sex on tv and I was all in. The casting though always through me off though. Tedd, Micheal, and Brian were really the only ones that were ok to me.
by Anonymous | reply 78 | March 28, 2021 12:58 PM |
And now the 2022 reboot version is even worse especially compared to the UK version.
by Anonymous | reply 79 | July 8, 2022 6:15 AM |
Russell T Davies should never have gone ahead with the sequel. It was a pointless rethread/variation on what had already been covered in the first (and only, really) season. He should have made Hazel's House, even if only as a miniseries, and had the QAF leads cameo in it.
