Tasteful Friends: DL fave Vivian Vance's former home in Pacific Palisades

I have sufficient of her home.

Considering its provenance, this MUST be given consideration as DL's new headquarters.

Vivian Vance owned or rented several homes in the Los Angeles area of the years.

This home has been heavily remodeled since Vance lived there from approximately 1974-1979. She paid $23,000 for the house, if the records are correct, which sounds low for a Pacific Palisades home... even in 1974 prices. Vance died of bone and breast cancer at age 70 in 1979.

Vance considered her primary home to be in Stamford, CT.

Do you mean 1954-1959 r10? I believe this house was sold when she divorced in 1959

R11, you might be right. Vance’s home history is sketchy. I know she moved “back” to California in 1974 from Stamford, CT. She died in Belvedere, CA.

Adding to my comment above, that $23,000 price would be more appropriate to 1954 than 1974.

This house was built in 2010, according to the listing. So this isn't Vivian's former house, it's simply located at her former address.
