I wonder if they took her off the ventilator a few days ago and that's why he thought she was dead, only to find out that no, she was lingering off the vent? Unfortunately that happens sometimes, and the hospital probably needed to be more clear with him about what was going on. Because of COVID I doubt they would have let him in there until they were very sure she didn't have it and she was going to die. So with that in mind, he probably really did think she was dead.

The husband is clearly blitzed out of his mind and probably not able to process information, who knows what happened. He said he was there with her when she died the first time, but clearly she didn't die, so maybe you're right and he wasn't even in the room at all.

If you do a Google search, you get a 50-50 mix of stories saying she's dead and she's alive. The news sites will need to write new headlines to say "Tanya Roberts really, truly is now dead."

As funny as the circumstances are (and in a very morbid way they are), this poor woman has been through hell the last couple of days and now she’s dead. I do feel bad for her and her loved ones.
