I enjoy living in a society where it's generally accepted that it's okay to ignore homeless people sleeping unsheltered in the woods in winter.

I think this was congressman Jamie Raskin’s son. It happened in Massachusetts and the son was a student of Harvard Law. Of course, it’s a stretch, but that’s who popped in my mind when I read this story.

This does sound like a suicide and it does sound like it may be Tommy Raskin - who by all accounts was an absolutely wonderful person.

That'd be a wild coincidence if it were Raskin's son. They never did release the cause of death, which usually indicates suicide. The dates also coincide. Do the locations? Was Raskin's son home for the holidays, or still in Massachusetts?

I'm certainly Tommy was brilliant and sweet, but I don't think I've seen such an over the top obituary. Don't mean that in a negative way, but that tribute is intense. If he was, indeed, the found body, the glowing writeup would make even more sense.
