Yeah, it keeps “unwatching” itself for me, over and over, even though I’ve posted in it several times and manually “watched” it several times.

Another thing I realized—and this might be common knowledge to the rest of you—is that when it becomes impossible to reply to this (or any) thread after a certain number of posts (usually a few hundred), I just have to go to my Settings on this site and turn off the link previews. Then I can place my cursor in the Reply box and actually submit a reply without the goddamn page crashing and reloading over and over.

He won by a lot in 2020 but there were only about 350 more voters who turned out in that county in 2020 than they did in 2014, and almost the same turned out in 2008 as they did in 2020.

She implies there were votes cast for people who don't exist, but the number of voters is accurate based on the last several elections. Yes, a lot more turned out for Mitch, but that means either the votes themselves were changed or that people have been radicalized and voted far-right in 2020 when they wouldn't have in, say, 2008.

Further, the number of registered Democrats in the county in 2008 is HUGE compared to those registered Repug, and the state went red back then, so the phenomenon of southerners registering as Dems but voting Repug goes back at least 12 years. It's not suspicious that it happened in 2020, since it happened in a bunch of previous elections, too.

I think we're looking at some localized vote changing in certain states that have been guilty of it for decades, plus radicalization, plus polls that are being manipulated. She's right to be suspicious but at first glance it doesn't look like she's got the numbers to prove anything.
