He's skipping his New Year's Eve party in Florida.
Trump is back in DC

Lucky Florida.
by Anonymous | reply 1 | December 31, 2020 10:45 PM |
He is playing around with Iran and him being back in DC is spooky.
by Anonymous | reply 2 | December 31, 2020 10:48 PM |
He's going to be playing Battleship for real.
by Anonymous | reply 3 | December 31, 2020 10:50 PM |
He is planning something, look at his pardoned "advisors" all giving him input. It might be Iran and will leave the mess for Biden. He is beyond being despicable.
by Anonymous | reply 4 | December 31, 2020 10:57 PM |
If he tried something with Iran ... THEN would they 25 him?
by Anonymous | reply 5 | December 31, 2020 10:58 PM |
More likely he is trying to bully, bribe, browbeat and cajole GOP congressmen to object to the Electoral College vote.
by Anonymous | reply 6 | December 31, 2020 11:02 PM |
Tons of shady military movement in the mideast this week. Scary stuff. He'll light the Middle East on fire and just walk away from it.

Marshal Law?
by Anonymous | reply 10 | December 31, 2020 11:07 PM |
Is Melania switching the decor back at Mar-a-Lago?
by Anonymous | reply 11 | December 31, 2020 11:09 PM |
The Mickey D's in Palm Beach ran out of special sauce.
by Anonymous | reply 12 | December 31, 2020 11:10 PM |
Can he just up and start a war single-handedly? I'm not American and don't know these things. Surely there are checks and balances in declaring war ....
by Anonymous | reply 13 | December 31, 2020 11:11 PM |
Invade Iran, cause U.S. cities to explode in protests, declare nationwide martial law, cancel the Inauguration because of crisis. The sociopath is surely capable of trying that path, caring nothing about the lives that will be lost. It's only a possibility, a sickening one.
by Anonymous | reply 14 | December 31, 2020 11:11 PM |
Trump is gonna be in DC for a LONG time.
by Anonymous | reply 15 | December 31, 2020 11:13 PM |
Not Marshal Law, silly.
It’s Marshall’s, Department Store brands for less, everyday!
by Anonymous | reply 17 | December 31, 2020 11:13 PM |
You know damn well if they attempt to declare martial law they'll misspell it.
by Anonymous | reply 19 | December 31, 2020 11:17 PM |
Yup the "malted machine" at the Palm beach McDonald's is broken
by Anonymous | reply 20 | December 31, 2020 11:21 PM |
I told them to change the WH locks.
by Anonymous | reply 21 | December 31, 2020 11:23 PM |
Trump is back because he’s been hounded into paying more attention to the Georgia runoff, but what he’s REALLY going to be doing is hijinks to get the certification disrailed.
An effort that will be about as effective as all his others to date.
You gotta hand it to him though - every time he forces the Republican Party to act in an unconstitutional way, for his own greedy reasons, he splatters more and more dogshit all over that party. A fact I am enjoying enormously. His lack of team spirit or constraint is stunning, and hilarious.
by Anonymous | reply 22 | December 31, 2020 11:23 PM |
he doesn't give a flying fuck about the GOP
by Anonymous | reply 23 | December 31, 2020 11:25 PM |
They ripped out all of Melania’s renovations and Donald had nowhere to sit his fat ass. That’s probably why he’s back in DC.
by Anonymous | reply 24 | December 31, 2020 11:28 PM |
[quote] If he tried something with Iran ... THEN would they 25 him?
At that point, someone just might 86 him
by Anonymous | reply 25 | December 31, 2020 11:29 PM |
He got their money.
by Anonymous | reply 26 | December 31, 2020 11:29 PM |
haven't they been saying shit about America and its presidents since 1979?
by Anonymous | reply 28 | December 31, 2020 11:36 PM |
THIS is why he went back. To twist 139 arms.
by Anonymous | reply 29 | December 31, 2020 11:37 PM |
The ‘membership’ of Mar-a-Lago is highly divided and overall pissed off and angry about Trump. And a lot of it isn’t political. When he was elected all of a sudden Palm Beach residents had their private planes diverted as an Air Force One order went into effect.
Their golfing was screwed up when he was around. I95 being shut down for an hour and a half most Friday afternoons and whatever day of the week he went back to DC was a nightmare.
Yes, much of the pissed-offed-ness is purely practical. Trump fucked around with their day to day lives for four years. Palm Beach doesn’t love him.
I bet he left early to ‘punish’ Palm Beach and Mar-a-Lago for their lack of loyalty. Petty.
by Anonymous | reply 30 | December 31, 2020 11:37 PM |
yes, but he's saying good things about Biden
by Anonymous | reply 31 | December 31, 2020 11:38 PM |
And on the other hand, McConnell is one pissed off tortuga and is doubling down on how angry he is with Hawley and Trump, as it seems, are most of the GOP Senators
"His most consequential vote ever"
Swan also gets a nice dig in that Hawley is just pulling this stunt as a way to make money from Dumplorables.
And, to draw the line between sane Republicans (relatively sane, anyway) and the Cult Crazies, Lin Wood is going around claiming evil forces have corrupted SCOTUS Chief Justice Roberts, Mark Meadows is a tool of big pharma who is trying to undermine Trump.... and Jeffrey Epstein is still alive, protected by the Deep State.
by Anonymous | reply 32 | December 31, 2020 11:44 PM |
Best explanation I have heard is that Trump didn't want to face all the people at Mar-a-lago asking him about losing the election, but the Iran thing bothers me. Jan 3 2019 was when Trump ordered the killing of Iranian general Qasem Soleimani, some people think Iran might chose that date to retaliate, giving Trump an excuse for war.
by Anonymous | reply 33 | December 31, 2020 11:44 PM |
Light is a good disinfectant, which is why thinking about the worst things sociopaths might do is probably pro-survival but also anxiety-producing.
I really hope there is a food or other trivial reason for his getting his fat ass back to DC.
by Anonymous | reply 34 | December 31, 2020 11:48 PM |
AND the GOP splits in two
by Anonymous | reply 35 | December 31, 2020 11:52 PM |
Trump probably doesn't even know where Iran is.
by Anonymous | reply 36 | December 31, 2020 11:54 PM |
He is in a mania state. Who knows what crazy ideas he hatched with Rudy in the Mar-a-Lago sauna.
by Anonymous | reply 37 | December 31, 2020 11:58 PM |
If the U.S. military can't even stage a successful military coup to install Donald as president for life how the hell are they going to go to war with Iran? We've been stalling on that for going on fifty years.
by Anonymous | reply 38 | December 31, 2020 11:58 PM |
The MAGAts in congress are throwing their knives at Mitch.
by Anonymous | reply 39 | December 31, 2020 11:58 PM |
He actually can't spend more than 7 days at Mar-A-Lago.
by Anonymous | reply 40 | January 1, 2021 12:00 AM |
He’s getting fitted for his suit of armor that he’ll be proudly wearing while waiting for his Proud Boys to storm the Capitol on January 6th.
by Anonymous | reply 41 | January 1, 2021 12:02 AM |
Since when have rules stopped him for doing what he wants R40?
by Anonymous | reply 42 | January 1, 2021 12:02 AM |
[quote] He actually can't spend more than 7 days at Mar-A-Lago.
Donald thinks rules don't apply to him, if he wanted to stay he would, he scheduled a huge party, charged people $1000 a piece to be there and now Trump won't even show up for the party.
by Anonymous | reply 43 | January 1, 2021 12:03 AM |
I really hope the Democrats win in GA on January 5. Then all the crying on January 6 will be more enjoyable when it goes down in defeat.
by Anonymous | reply 44 | January 1, 2021 12:04 AM |
20 more days and his fat ass is gone!!!
by Anonymous | reply 45 | January 1, 2021 12:06 AM |
r14 is on the right trek. He is absolutely psychotic at this point. His tweets are incoherent, all caps, then inappropriate caps. WTF?
This just happened: "The Department of Justice has filed a straight forward, compelling brief on behalf of VP Pence to dismiss the lawsuit Gohmert has filed against him. The US House has indicated that it will also file a brief."
by Anonymous | reply 46 | January 1, 2021 12:08 AM |
Yes, in less than 3 weeks he'll be gone, but hats off to Rouhani's idea anyway because this POS is never going to prison.
by Anonymous | reply 47 | January 1, 2021 12:10 AM |
He can’t plan his way out of a paper bag. He’ll rant and rave for the next 20 days and leave the WH the day before the inauguration.
by Anonymous | reply 48 | January 1, 2021 12:27 AM |
Every single last Republican in the House, and the usual suspects in the Senate (Hawley, Cruz, Cotton, Graham, etc) could vote against certifying the results, and it won't make a difference. BOTH houses of Congress would have to agree not to certify the results, and there's a 0.000000000000000001% chance that would happen.
by Anonymous | reply 49 | January 1, 2021 12:49 AM |
The GOP knows full well that no matter what shit they do, millions will still vote for them.
The two Georgia Senators both sold stocks when they got inside information about Covid but told the public it was nothing. They are STILL likely to win.
by Anonymous | reply 50 | January 1, 2021 12:52 AM |
Trump was apparently pissed off at the First Whore's decorating of Mar A Lago.
I wonder what he likes. Or doesn't like.
by Anonymous | reply 51 | January 1, 2021 12:54 AM |
No Chinese Modern!
by Anonymous | reply 52 | January 1, 2021 1:08 AM |
Of course (real) Melania is going to decorate in a manner Trump hates. She is not fake Melania who will hold his hand. IN a huff, Trump went back to DC to work on undermining democracy over the holiday weekend, posture over Iran and try to scare people. He's reaching the negotiation phase on the five levels of grief, working to find something to threaten Congress. Maybe he won't start a war with Iran if they'll let Pence act as president and pardon Trump? He thought he had something to hold over McConnell with the $2,000 check, but Moscow Mitch one-upped him by using DC's oldest trick in the playbook: loading up the bill with a bunch of poison pills such that no one would or could vote for it. But Trump being the inexperienced failed executive didn't see it coming, even now at the end of his four years supposedly leading the party.
by Anonymous | reply 53 | January 1, 2021 1:15 AM |
[quote]how the hell are they going to go to war with Iran?
Easily. The US has enormous amount of force projection. It can put much of its (vast) defense expenditure on such force projection.
This is something people wringing their hands over China will never get — China has land borders with Russia, India (an enormous country and bitter rival) and others besides. China has to be concerned first and foremost with securing its border integrity and, as a (let’s face it) dictatorship, suppressing internal uprisings.
The US is not terribly concerned with invasions from Canada or Mexico. As a result it can and DOES wield a mighty sword, with little worry about a shield. The US has the power projection capability to kick the living shit out of Iran using missile and air strikes in stunning quantity. What can Iran do in retaliation?
If the Iranians actually start something they are utterly insane.
by Anonymous | reply 54 | January 1, 2021 1:27 AM |
R51, I read today that Trump liked that golden gilt Eastern European crap and Melania actually liked lighter colors and more modern. Probably she re-did their place gray and white mid-century or something and he hated it.
by Anonymous | reply 55 | January 1, 2021 6:14 AM |
"Is Melania switching the decor back at Mar-a-Lago?"
That was one of the lame excuses they used to return to DC. They didn't want the optics of him lolling on the golf course while he had politicians do all his dirty work back in snowy Washington.
You know she wouldn't change a thing w/o Turd's approval.
