I watched the awful movie "Twister" last night, and she was the only thing that made the film worth watching.

Good for Jamie! I watched Less Than Zero on Christmas night and I thought she was terribly miscast as Blair. But still, I like the actress and am glad she is rich.

Why do people always say she was bad in Less Than Zero? What was so miscast about her in the role? That she wasn’t a blonde?

R14 I LOVE her in Less Than Zero but she has two awful line-readings my friends still make fun of to this day. "You look pale and great" and "I'm gonna miss him so much!". People didn't think she was pretty enough to play Blair but I thought she looked lovely.

I also liked her in Less Than Zero. She was in a number of films in the '80s, usually as the girlfriend: Crossroads, Quicksilver, Less Than Zero, The Lost Boys, Listen to Me, Solarbabies.

Personally, I always thought she was attractive, and perfectly captured the rich girl of the mid-to-late '80s in Less Than Zero very well.

I recently saw Twister, a movie I loved in my teens.

Damn, it's bad. The only good scene is when the gang goes for steak and eggs at Lois Smith's house.

Twisted was bad even in 1996. The cheesy dialogue between Bill Paxton and Helen Cunt, Jami acting as if she was in a different movie, the flying cow, Cary Elwes chewing the scenery. Horrible movie.

And to study what Gertz is wearing in those videos is to see a lesson that should be learned by more aging women in show business ( looking at you Jennifer Lopez) that is being fully covered actually can achieve for you a more younger, fresher appearance.

Yes, Lopez and Gertz are apples and oranges in what type of performers they were and are. Still, I recall my favorite look of Lopez is when she wore a gown to the Oscars where she didn't reveal her body, she was covered and she actually looked younger than when she's revealing everything.

They're of similar age and background, but SJP is speculated to be worth about $150 million, a mere fraction of Jami's worth. And SJP has been the bigger breadwinner in her household than Matthew Broderick for some time now, despite his history in film and theatre.

SJP hustles a lot--a LOT--endorsing perfume, shoes, clothes, the GAP back in the day--and seems to constantly be working. So while $150 million is nothing to sneeze at, it's not a vast fortune compared to other celebs. I've read that she's very financially savvy and preoccupied with money, so I wonder if it bugs her.

For the umpteenth time, her husband was not that wealthy when they married in 1989. Any capital the marriage accumulated since then belongs to both of them, especially since a) an investment banker can capitalize on a rich and famous wife and 2) she was an active participant in the purchase, management and investment of the Atlanta Hawks. I loved THE NEIGHBORS. The whole bit about the aliens adopting the names of famous athletes cracked me up to no end. Larry Bird, Jackie Joyner-Kersee, Reggie Jackson (a teen Asian actor) & Dick Butkus (little kid) were all one alien family. And other aliens in the neighborhood were named Mary Lou Retton, Billie-Jean King, Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, etc. IIRC the explanation was.....having picked up U.S. television/radio transmissions over years, the aliens assumed these to be very common, popular names in America (like John Smith) that would not stand out.
