Maybe the giraffe shade should depict fronds, greenery? Then it would be clever.

A classic:

I (like R2 & R3) like the lamp at OP. But I disagree with changing the shade to giraffe skin. Only because the solid color is what makes it stylish/tolerable. I would even like it in Navy Blue, or Truman Green (the color on the Truman presidential China service).

But I suppose having a shade in a solid color that evokes the African continent/sunset (as is), is probably most appropriate.
