But still is a nice car with good power and appropriate amenities.

I rented recently a VW Passat and a Jeep Grand Cherokee. Both were fun rides, good power and decent handling.
My friends have a Genesis, which honestly I had never heard of before I borrowed it to run errands. It was very nice. It's from the people that make the KIA cars, but it seems higher end.

Subaru makes a decent line of cars that usually stand the test of time, run predictably well and don't attract thieves.

Maybe a Chevy Caprice. Reason: used as police patrol cars, so, I'm assuming, does have power & should be somewhat reliable. It's low-key looking. I don't think criminals would target this car, either.

It depends on your zipcode, OP. If you live in an Impala zipcode, we shouldn’t chat and you should move. Now.

Toyota Camry... Let your friends know that you really are the bore they think you are. The sensible shoes of automobiles

Passats don't last and the current ones don't have the pickup or handling of older models. Hondas are low profile and relaible. It's a shame Chey discontinued teh Cruse---those were great. They were my favorite rental cars. Who knew that after 50+ years, GM finally built a decent import fighter.
