You have to give it to Rannells, he's carved out a pretty decent career for such a limited actor. He screams gay from outer space, it's impossible to cast him in straight roles, so that's 99% of jobs right there. He's done very well for being in such a specific niche, as far as castability is concerned.

He does a good job in THE PROM (in comparison to Corden's cringey performance).

Rannells is such a crapshoot, even onstage. So good in BOOK OF MORMON, good (but not great) in FALSETTOS, disappointing when he did HEDWIG AND THE ANGRY INCH, where I expected him to excel.

Rannells is a good talk show guest. He knows he’s there to chat and entertain. He’s like the guests on The Merv Griffin Show or The Tonight Show when guests used to come on came on to chat, dish, be funny, tell stories, etc. The stars back then usually weren’t there to sell a movie, play or book, but instead were there to show some personality and be interesting and appealing. And even if they were a guest to sell a product, they were still there to entertain. Andrew Rannells is reminiscent of those old-time guests.

Rannells stands out—he’s talented and has personality. Most of today’s young stars have nothing to say and cannot carry on a conversation other than to plug a movie, which will be gone before we know it—and so will they.

Now that he's put on some weight, perhaps he could now do commercials for boring products. (See thread on fat ugly people in the media)

By the way, I think he looks better with some meat on his bones.

Andrew Rannells is one of my absolute favorite talk show guests. He's witty and engaged, he tells a great story, and he's unapologetically out and proud. Y'all can rag on him all you'd like, but I will not stop thinking that it's a step forward for our community to have him being himself on these shows.

Tuc and Andrew have clearly broken up and Andrew has obviously been nursing the pain à la Britney at the buffet.
