Henry Zaga, Brazilian actor
Members of Hollywood’s Deaf community are boycotting “The Stand” after a hearing actor Henry Zaga was cast to play a deaf character in the CBS All Access limited series The Stand.
He was also in The New Mutants, an X-Men film, which got backlash over Henry’s casting as the character Sunspot instead of a black Brazilian actor.
The poor guy can’t catch a break!

So when casting an unknown with no box office clout, to portray a character based on well-known source material, it is not too much to ask that casting directors make an effort to find actors that fit the specific character descriptions. Representation matters.
Rather than just give all the roles to the unknown actors who give the best blowjobs.

I agree with that r8. Henry also played a character in The New Mutants film that in the comics is a brown skinned Brazilian. Has Henry ever explained that?
