Freddie Windsor is a living example of Hanoverian eyes. If you look at the old paintings, all the 18th and 19th century English kings and queens had them. In the current generation, the recipients of those genetics are Lord Freddie and Princess Beatrice.

HRH Bea is a dead-ringer for Queen Victoria, minus the ginger coloring.

by Anonymousreply 72December 13, 2020 4:06 PM

[quote]I went to high school with a girl that had true violet eyes

Yes. We had a boy at our school with dark blue cystalline eyes. Very extraordinary, as if there was glitter in them. Never seen another pair like it.

I also sat opposite a girl on a train who was looking down. I realised it was because she had that eye thing where there is a black mark going from the iris, making each eye look like a keyhole. Very unsettling. I'm sure anyone with it in the Middle Ages would have been burnt as a witch.

R72 the link with 15 year-old AJ’s photoshoot had not 3 (I was mistaken) but 10 photos. They showed a naturally beautiful girl whose face looked unmistakably like her future adult face. If you’re saying her face is full of plastic then you’re either an envious frau or possibly need your eyes checked. Her nose was refined, that’s the one change that’s noticeable. If she had other procedures it’s not face-altering or noticeable. FWIW here’s a well-regarded plastic surgeon who say AJ is mostly natural. Meanwhile that creepy Lorrie Hill YouTuber is making money being a plastic surgery shill, someone who thinks Bella Hadid had great plastic surgery isn’t one to be trusted.

R74 - that reminds me of this mugshot. There was some discussion about it and it was decided they had to be colored contacts.

Offsite Link
by Anonymousreply 77December 13, 2020 6:00 PM

R76, that picture of Jolie on the left is from her after Gia, not her teen years. She definitely had a nose job to refine it. It also looks like she had something done to minimize her bug eye look that was pretty prominent in her earlier days. It's probably not fair to use photos from recent years because she does get work done now like her lips get plumped. In reality everyone's lips shrink as they age including hers.

Oliver Reed just looks creepy but maybe that poster meant it as a joke. So does Walken but I guess creepy could fall under "striking".

by Anonymousreply 78December 13, 2020 6:03 PM

Can any one post a photo of striking gray eyes? I’m not sure what they look like, or how they’re different from blue. TIA.

by Anonymousreply 79December 13, 2020 6:11 PM

Angie in Hackers when she was about 20. Those aren't the cheekbones, nose chin, and jawline she has now.

Don't get me wrong--her plastic surgery is fantastic. But it is extensive and dramatic.

Offsite Link
by Anonymousreply 80December 13, 2020 6:19 PM

Angelina in Girl, Interrupted, when she was in her mid-20s and very thin, so we can't argue it's baby fat hiding her features. A lovely woman with nice bone structure but not the extreme cheekbones, jawline, and chin that she has now.

Offsite Link
by Anonymousreply 81December 13, 2020 6:21 PM

Another one from Girl. Her face is flatter and rounder than it is now, and I agree she had something done to her eyes.

Also, that's a terrible wig.

Offsite Link
by Anonymousreply 82December 13, 2020 6:23 PM

R81 Some women have a lot of baby fat on their faces even when they are skinny. This is very true among Asians. Some Asian women don't lose the baby fat on their faces until they are in their 50's. A example of this is Tamlyn Tomita who had a chubby face in Karate Kid despite being thin. Angelina also has Native American ancestry through her mother's line.

Offsite Link
by Anonymousreply 92December 13, 2020 8:52 PM

R80 you’re retarded if you compare an early 20s woman against her mid-40s self especially if she’d undergone early, surgically induced menopause. Our facial bone structure undergo changes until our mid 20s. Our jawlines and cheekbones get more pronounced and the chins more elongated. Most anyone can go back and compare photos of themselves as a teenager or early 20s and I fucking guarantee they’ll look noticeably different in the mid- and lower face areas because this is where the maturing face is the most noticeable. It’s why young children look so cute with their underdeveloped jawline, cheeks, and chins. Did you ever study anatomy and physiology or do you just like to parrot dumbass YouTubers. Again, look at AJ’s early modeling photos, if she’s had extensive surgeries as you maintain she wouldn’t look so uncannily like the AJ that became famous. And no one us saying she didn’t have anything done, just that it’s not the extensive surgeries you and plastic surgery shills on YouTube are pinning on celebs.

[quote]Face it, brown eyes are meh. Its (sic) always brunettes with blue or green eyes that win this contest. The contrast mesmerizes.

What a load of crap, R115.

One could argue that contrast between the color of eyes versus skin and hair can usually be striking (not necessarily attractive). It’s not the focus of this thread, but if we’re talking about really beautiful eyes – they aren’t determined by color. They are determined by shape.

Ain’t nobody raving about the blue eyes of Steve Buscemi, Rachel Dratch , or Marty Feldman. Sylvester Stallone’s basset hound eyes wouldn’t be improved if they were green. Parasite Hilton’s wonky brown eye isn’t helped by her blue contact lens.

On the other hand, Elizabeth Taylor’s eyes would be great no matter the color because the shape is excellent and the double rows of lashes are a bonus.

The dark eyes of Natalie Wood, Audrey Hepburn, Ursula Andress, Cindy Crawford, and Winona Ryder are often called beautiful. The same goes for JFK Jr, Tyrone Power, and Zayn Malik. Nothing meh about their peepers.
