I was never interested in Starsky and Hutch but the boys in my high school couldn't get enough of Glaser's sweater. It was THE Christmas present of whatever year that was between 1975-1979.

Even Steve McQueen had one.

The actor, not some kid at our school.

He was married to a real hero, Elizabeth Meyer Glaser.

OP, I just watched some Season 1 episodes over the weekend -- and not only does Glaser display a great butt in his 501s, he's constantly squatting to show it off even better.

Brittania was a major contributor to this front/back success. This was a lovely transition away from double-knit pants. The tighter waist forced your junk left or right - with some idiots sporting the floaty-balls look. The ass on the jeans was more forgiving down South as the thighs widened slightly and the lower legs were wide enough to embrace boots, shoes, or sneakers - looked stupid with sandals for some reason.

The Glaser family’s tragedy was well documented in the 80s and 90s when Paul and wife Elizabeth’s daughter Ariel died from AIDS complications in 1988. She was only 7. Ariel had contracted HIV through breast milk via her mother who had unknowingly contracted HIV herself through a blood transfusion. Elizabeth then died in 1994. Their other child Jake contracted HIV in utero, but is still living today.
