Thanks, OP! I have a lot to be grateful for -- I survived to 62, and I received my first Social Security deposit yesterday (yippee!). My home is paid for, my vehicles are paid for, I live in a beautiful area, and I have enough money to travel a bit and enough health to do it (just barely, though). My parents are both alive and healthy. I'm single and have been for awhile, but I prefer it that way. And I have a lovely dog to keep me warm at night.
Happy Thanksgiving, everyone!

Hey there, Sailor. You seem rich, er, I mean nice.

Happy Thanksgiving to everyone at Datalounge. You people have kept me going through a case of Covid and all the trials of the last year. More than anything, you have made me laugh -long and hard.
In the spirit of the day and this place, I would like to kick each and every one of you in the cuntbone, and suggest that you die horribly in a grease fire as I lift my billowing caftan and present hole.

[quote] long and hard.
We like it that way.

See what I mean? :)

I'm actually thankful for Datalounge. There's things I can say here that I can't say anywhere else. Where everyone else is supposed to be drenched in family values and crying about not being able to gather with relatives and pretending to love every minute of it, to me it's a relief. And I can't say that anywhere else.

Thanksgiving to all the homosexuals! As a straight man, I have trouble relating to you, but you are near to my heart regardless!

I screwed up. I missed a rare family zoom meeting this morning. I haven’t seen them for 16 months, but seems longer . I used to go see them (it’s a 2 hour drive) many times a year and I miss them. “Oh, damn”, is all I can say. Maybe there will be another zoom meeting at Christmas.

I wouldn't survive without DL, and you know some day it's going to go away. And then I will kill myself.
