What size crayon box did you have as a kid?

Omg, I've thought about this before, rather recently. A store had a crayon display and I remember thinking why is the 96 sized box so cheap, aren't these premium luxury goods? I just looked and they're priced from $3-5.

Every once in a while I would get a brand new box of 64 with the sharpener. They all eventually ended up in the big coffee can full of flat and broken crayons.

I was always insanely jealous of the kids with the 64 crayon box. I think the most I ever had was the 24 box but usually just the basic 12. I sucked at art so my mom was wise not to waste the money on the big box

i liked the metallics in the 64 box and also magenta!

The worst was when you went to a restaurant that gave you a stupid kids menu and 2 fake wax crayons in yellow and red. What can you do with that?

We were poor so I had to beg to get 16 or 24. Never had a 64 but I really wanted it.

I grew up poor so I always got the RoseArt 8 pack. I desperately wanted the 64 pack Crayolas.

I had the 64, and took it home in my backpack everyday so none of the other greedy bitches at school would steal them from my desk.

I remember graduating up to the 64....it was a little intimidating.

I never liked crayons. I used colored pencils.

I had the 64. Looks like a box costs $3.77 now at Walmart. How expensive were they 30 years ago.

64 crayon was the entry level elite box. Those with true wealth distinguished themselves with 96 and 128 crayon boxes.

Funny the things you remember. When I was in the first grade, some of my classmates had the 64-crayon boxes. The price was printed on the box - "$1.00." This was in 1958, for reference. I was just learning to read number amounts and I read that as "$100," LOL. It might as well have been, since I had no money. But did I ever want one of those boxes of crayons!

I think the largest size I ever got was 48. Many years later, when I was an adult, the mother of my partner got me the box of 64. :)

I had various sizes, but definitely remember having the 64 box. Loved the sharpener.
