Anyone else as much or more obvious?
Marrying for money. Just look a pic of Joan and Alfred Steele. Trophy wife much?

That jock who married Greg Berlantini or what ever his name is.

It's so blatant. How do they explain it to their old friends.
Like does Jerry Hall just laugh at herself and Murdoch when she's hanging out with Keith and Bianca? Like do they invite their old friends to their wedding?
I remember padma lakshmi swatting her friends playfully with her wedding bouquet and everyone laughing as she walked down the aisle to marry salman rushdie. Cringes all round.

I'm sure this happens in college towns all the time...
n 2007 I worked with a young woman who I must admit was physically attractive. She flirted with male coworkers all the time, but was definitely "fake nice". Anyway, two years later (after I'd left) she was suddenly engaged to an overweight, fug medical student, who (conveniently) was about to graduate.
I absolutely refuse to believe she's truly in love with him. And as it turns out, he's just as haughty, and condescending as she is. I actively avoid them, if I see them in public.
On one hand, I can't blame her, because she really didn't have much going for her otherwise. But at the same time, a part of me thinks it's completely pathetic.

I wonder if they worry they will lose the respect of their friends.
