R27 I heard it back in the 1980s from a crew member who had worked on the film. Paul always tried to keep his dalliances on the down-low but it was usually obvious to those who worked on the film projects what was going on. They later on had an on-again off-again relationship for several years.

I just watched The Color of Money last night. Cruise was good in earlier roles. Actually, I've never really found him a bad actor despite all the craziness.

How about Anthony Perkins?

I had recently read the Tony Perkins biography Split Image, which is an excellent read and gets into a lot of details of his sex life. While it mentions that Perkins was good friends with Paul and Joanne, it doesn't get into whether he anything sexual with Newman.
