Not a bad episode in general, even though it's a "ripped from the headlines" episode. The dynamics are changing finally on this show; for too long it was just Benson, Tutuola, Carisi & Rollins. The new bi detective has really charged things up; she's super used to being aggressive in Vice but has gotten reprimanded a few times already. The new ADA (Garland) is ok. So we'll have Garland & Carisi in the courtroom, with hopefully more of Wenty. Having Barba back last week as a defense attorney was..... interesting? WTF happened to him in Iowa? Reminds me of how Judge Barnes left the bench & is now a defense attorney for the offenders. Was also nice to see Tamara Tunie back for a recent episode. And Elizabeth Marvel.
