We learned that Earl is a dirt bag who is molesting his own daughter, Adrienne. I'm not sure of the particulars, but Jo is the maid for Senator Harper Deveraux and finds out that Jack is her son Billy.

I think Adrienne murders Early. Jack, Steve, and Kayla are in triangle. Jack rapes Kayla. Harper becomes the Riverfront Knifer and is killed. Jack begins his redemption arc with Jennifer haunted by both Earl and Harper.

How many times has Will been at The Spot since he's been back in Salem?

Will reconnected with Neil at The Spot, then they worked the dance floor together looking to assemble a holiday orgy.

Jo's piece of shit husband was DUKE Johnson. (his middle name was Earl & just to make things confusing, he had a twin brother named Earl Duke). As mentioned above, Duke was a violent alcoholic who beat her regularly, and had started beating Steve, too (when he'd come to his mother's aid). She feared he'd eventually beat one of the boys to death. She wanted to leave him (or did briefly), but with no job or family, she couldn't care for the boys, figured they'd be better off with another family, etc. (she was an alcoholic, too)

Steve was very attached to his baby brother and vowed to always look after him, but then, the mean orphanage-people separated them. Billy was adopted by future serial-killer Harper Deveraux & wife, becoming Jack Harcourt Deveraux, and Steve was left behind, never to be adopted.

Some years after giving the boys up, Jo gave birth to Adrienne. She eventually left Duke (who was abusing Adrienne), shortly before she & Adrienne arrived in Salem. Duke came looking for them and found Adrienne alone at Jo's apartment. When Adrienne refused to tell him where Jo was, he beat & raped her. When he came at her again, she managed to get ahold of Jo's gun (? I think it was Jo's gun), and shot him. Steve walked in on the aftermath. Adrienne was practically catatonic and had no memory of what happened. It was obvious to Steve (her clothes were torn & she had been roughed up). Steve being Steve...he wiped Adrienne's prints off the gun, and told everyone -- including Adrienne -- that HE had killed Duke. Confessed to Abe on the spot. Adrienne ultimately remembered what really happened during Steve's trial, and they were both exonerated.

The name Jackson was in honor of both Jack *and* Steve (who had "died" a year & half earlier). Jack's full name is Jack, but Steve (who had a penchant for nicknames) often called him "Jackson". That is, after the redemption arc and Steve had forgiven him. It was an affectionate nickname. During Jack's villainous ass-hat era, Steve snidely referred to him as "Billy-Jack" (to remind him who he really was/where he came from) or "Happy-Jack" (because he seemed to enjoy scheming & making people miserable).

I remember the scene when we learned of Sonny's birth. Jack & Jennifer got a phone call from Justin & Adrienne, while sitting on the sofa, one day. (Jennifer was pregnant with Abby). Jack got choked up and a little misty: "You named him Jackson?? Jackson Kiriakis." There was no mention of his middle name being Steven.

Well, we know Jackson's middle name is "Steven" now, so it's a pretty safe bet that came from Adrienne's other brother.

Sonny looks nothing like either of his uncles.

On Monday, shirtless Charlie is here and Will meets up with Tripp again.

Loved that Cady was channeling Jamie Lynn in her portrayal of Laura. Mrs. Chic-Fil-Hate would never have thought of that or been able to pull that off. Has it been confirmed that Cady is permanent? I hope so.

I usually hate it when they retcon history that I actually saw. I'm looking at you Dena Higley and the creation of Paul. But Ron's writing staff made this fit seamlessly into what we already knew and could have actually happened. I loved that they decided to go extra soapy and over top campy with the flashback. And I love that they gave Abby the Missy Reeves 90s hair wig. That bang.

I get it. TPTB felt the need to fudge the timeline to account for SORASing. I suppose this is one of the more clever ways (wardrobe)/wig to "trick" viewers into thinking something happened longer ago than it actually did. Long-time viewers remember big hair/big sweater Jennifer....and they remember her with Jack. But that was NOT what Jennifer looked like, during the Peter/Jack/Laura era.
