Actor's bulge looks like it would choke a horse.
It did.
by Anonymous | reply 1 | November 11, 2020 11:42 PM |
It's shockingly visible but I'm not sure it's really that long. I think the very high waisted trousers give the illusion of more length than is really there because the top of the cock seems higher than in modern pants.
Though I'll admit, it's pretty thick!

That last clip with him in the WW2 movie and his package is at camera level. WOW!

He was ultra right-wing conservative.
by Anonymous | reply 11 | November 12, 2020 1:09 AM |
Don't matter. He had a huge dick. Also, 1930s conservatives were NOT the same as today's Walmart Republicans.
by Anonymous | reply 12 | November 12, 2020 1:11 AM |
Well it's a good thing that watching his movies doesn't transmit his political beliefs into my brain, R11.
by Anonymous | reply 13 | November 12, 2020 1:13 AM |
Bette Davis hated him. They did a film together and she couldn't wait to be done with it and never see him again.

BIG DICK? I don't know what the hell you guys are on? It looked like any average soft dick. And the guy has the sex appeal of a garden slug.

In "By Myself", Bacall wrote of meeting Montgomery at a party when she was new in Hollywood.
They had been flirting when he asked for her phone number which she readily gave him.
He walked away saying "Too easy".
by Anonymous | reply 29 | November 12, 2020 3:50 AM |
Are some of you kidding? That thing looked huge! Mr. Montgomery obviously didn’t own a pair of underwear, either.
by Anonymous | reply 30 | November 12, 2020 10:56 AM |
You could see better bulges on guys from the 60s when pants were tighter.

Looks like 25% of my male teachers in the 70s. Oh there was a social studies teacher, thing went half way to his knee. We joked about it amongst ourselves. And girls weren't horrified. A different age.
by Anonymous | reply 34 | November 12, 2020 12:49 PM |
I'm not sure he was ULTRA rightiwng conservative, that would be more like Eugene Pallette who thought there was a "black communist uprising" coming any day now thanks to the (at the time) new Democrats thinking blacks were human. He didn't think they were. Or Elijah Wood Jr who was a big fan of Hitler exterminating the Jews.
Montgomery was pro-HUAC and testified for them, but he also didn't name names. He did a big media-friendly speech about keeping the unions free from commies, which was bad enough, but especially for the time not considered "ultra" rightwing.
It does say something about Montgomery that Bette Davis couldn't work with him, though, because she could work with Pallette despite his craziness but not Montgomery. He did always seem a little off.
by Anonymous | reply 35 | November 12, 2020 1:00 PM |
Elijah Wood is a fascist?

Shit, I meant Elijah COOK Jr, not Elijah Wood. This guy:
by Anonymous | reply 37 | November 12, 2020 1:12 PM |
It looks fake. And he was such a bland actor.
by Anonymous | reply 38 | November 12, 2020 1:34 PM |
Does Elijah wood have a huge pendulous cock? Because that would have been sexy on the slight young man he once was.
by Anonymous | reply 39 | November 12, 2020 1:36 PM |
It's from a bunch of different movies, many of which I've seen and know the scenes aren't fake. The stuff from NIGHT MUST FALL was the first thing I thought of before I even opened the video, I'd already seen it myself and noticed the bulge.
by Anonymous | reply 40 | November 12, 2020 1:36 PM |
Not interested.
by Anonymous | reply 41 | November 12, 2020 1:38 PM |
Why didn't the studio just make him wear briefs?
by Anonymous | reply 42 | November 12, 2020 1:53 PM |
R42 because it was not a concern. Like in my 70s high school. Where you could make out the exact shape of some teachers cocks. Nobody thought it was something that needed censor.

[quote]Anyone who wears their pants that high should have a bulge.
Sadly . . .
by Anonymous | reply 44 | November 12, 2020 1:57 PM |
The seams on briefs were too noticeable under slacks back then, men on screen wore drapey boxers or went commando.
by Anonymous | reply 45 | November 12, 2020 2:08 PM |
With the pleated drape of full cut trousers back then there was no need for the discomfort of briefs. Most men wore boxers which acted more as a lining than a means of support. Briefs weren't popular until the mid1950s when pleats and high waists mostly disappeared and were replaced by flat fronts with tight crotches.

They were worse. They wanted homosexuals institutionalized, left wingers blacklisted, Jews out of business and blacks at the back of the bus.

Doesn't anyone know what pre-code means? It was before the Hays Code censorship rules - movies made before 1934 were free and wild in a way they weren't after.
by Anonymous | reply 51 | November 12, 2020 5:48 PM |
The early 30s films were pretty racy, but then the blue-nosed prudes and church groups yelled loud enough and the studios had to implement the Hays Code.

by Anonymous | reply 54 | November 12, 2020 9:35 PM |
As an eldergay, I must say that I don't think bulges, VPLs, and the like entered the minds of mainstream audiences most of the time. I don't think they really caught on like gay guys did because men were not objectified the way they are now, and the way that women have always been. I've watched a million movies with Robert Montgomery and I may have noticed in passing, there is nothing like a compendium to bring it all home. Also, keep a lookout for movies starring Warren Hymer. Early 30s Warner Bros. supporting player.
That said, my husband is huge down there and I have never seen him swing like good old Bob.

These are ridiculous. If the pants go up all the way to the point where the leg attaches to the hip, of course there will be a bulge.
This sidelined dick and balls don’t look sexy at all. What’s sexy is a frontal middle bulge.
by Anonymous | reply 58 | November 12, 2020 11:25 PM |
When a good tailor makes a custom made suit, a common question is: "Which side do you dress it?" A slight amount of fabric could be added to the right or left leg for accommodation. Perhaps many of these suits were off the rack and thus not tailored properly.

I haven't normally been interested in or looked for bulge in photos or films of Robert Montgomery's, because while his identical daughter was beautiful, I couldn't think of it as being on her dad and making me think of him as being sexy in that way. So, NO!! ;D

Robert Montgomery continued the line of Metro leading men vacated by William Haines, who, as probably everyone here knows, wouldn't capitulate to LB Mayer's demands to keep his gay private life private.
The Twenties and early Thirties wanted their heroes to be all-American preppies (before the term was coined) and Montgomery fit the bill of the elder college boy who could enter and believably ask "Anyone for tennis?" Think John Held illustrations. These types were a reaction to the exoticism of Rudolph Valentino's Sheik, a caricature that became horribly passe and silly even before Valention died and The Silent Era was over.
Montgomery was Metro's Golden Boy and fought to be taken more seriously but was mostly cast in hugely popular rom-coms, often opposite Joan Crawford. His appearance in Night Must Fall in 1937 (seen in the bulge clips) was particularly effective as it used his innocent image to play a twisted serial killer. And by then, his star was replaced by Robert Taylor and, of course, more importantly, by Clark Gable.
