Andrea Mitchell

She's on MSNBC right now, and her dark circles are so pronounced she looks like a racoon.

I was shocked, but perhaps I shouldn't have been -- she is older than dirt.

by Anonymousreply 40February 24, 2021 6:49 PM

This is what you’re inclined to post about today? Dark circles around the eyes of an elderly woman?

by Anonymousreply 1November 4, 2020 5:17 PM

She has a man's nose. I understand she's probably a workaholic and overachiever, but what's wrong with looking a little prettier?

by Anonymousreply 2November 4, 2020 5:22 PM

What's wrong with not looking prettier? No one is watching her for jack-off material.

by Anonymousreply 3November 4, 2020 8:25 PM

Andrea is in rare form this morning ......

she can barely complete a..... thought ........or question......

it is as though someone is playing Aerosmith in her headpiece.

by Anonymousreply 4November 24, 2020 6:07 PM

There was definitely something up today. She normally slurs her words and trails off mid sentence but today it was really, really bad. I couldn’t watch.

by Anonymousreply 5November 24, 2020 6:12 PM

[quote]she looks like a racoon

Oh, dear.

by Anonymousreply 6November 24, 2020 6:13 PM

I wince every time she loses her train of thought R5. Apparently losing your train of thought "is a one of the classic symptoms of Parkinson's disease."

She should have gotten Meet The Press

by Anonymousreply 8November 24, 2020 6:28 PM

There was a day last week, I want to say Friday? I seriously thought she stroked out on air. She was incoherent for about 20 seconds, but then it seemed like a light switched on and she was fine(ish). It definitely seems like she has an underlying health issue.

by Anonymousreply 9November 24, 2020 6:30 PM

Her underlying health issue is called superannuation.

by Anonymousreply 10November 24, 2020 6:31 PM

And remember, back in the days of the Taft administration when she married Alan Greenspan it was considered a May-December romance! And HE'S still alive!

by Anonymousreply 11November 24, 2020 7:08 PM

I swear she and Greenspan are in a Lavender Marriage.

by Anonymousreply 12November 24, 2020 7:48 PM

She was really stumbling over her words when I saw her earlier. She has been the Chief Foreign Affairs Correspondent for NBC News for 25 years, but because of the way Trump's State Dept. didn't allow press, she was largely sidelined during these years. It's kind of funny that this happened to her, because she was always doing hit job reporting on Clinton's emails during the 2016 campaign. Every single day she would start her show with a story about the emails.

I am very interested to see if now they are going to replace her in that position, but still let her keep her show. The Foreign Affairs Correspondent is a very tough job, with tons of travel. It may be decided she's not up to the challenge anymore.

by Anonymousreply 13November 24, 2020 10:09 PM

How old is she?

by Anonymousreply 14November 24, 2020 10:10 PM

Andrea is 74.

Did anyone else know that she was married to a black guy decades ago? Apparently, she would just as soon nobody remember it.

Who knew?

"About her first marriage: In the early ‘70s, when I knew her as a fellow parent at Greenfield Elementary School in Center City, Mitchell was married to Gil Jackson, a black man who worked in the public affairs department at Smith, Kline & French (now GlaxoSmithKline) while struggling to launch a career as an independent film producer. An interracial marriage to a man suffering from a very malignant case of multiple sclerosis cannot have been easy for a young Jewish woman barely out of college, yet Mitchell (as far as I could tell) loyally stood by her man while also caring for his two sons from a previous marriage— so conscientiously that I presumed the boys were her own. The marriage broke up shortly before Mitchell left Philadelphia for Washington in 1976, and Jackson subsequently died."

I’ve always wondered why she’s never been to a dermatologist or plastic surgeon

by Anonymousreply 16November 24, 2020 10:46 PM

She is unwatchable. She can't ask a decent question to save her life and, even with a prompter, often looks like she's lost. I can't believe MSNBC thinks she's adding anything of value to the broadcasts.

by Anonymousreply 17November 24, 2020 10:52 PM

How do you think they should dispose of her R17? I remember when MSNBC fired Joan Walsh and stink over that and she was just a contributor. CNN hired here the next day.

by Anonymousreply 18November 24, 2020 11:12 PM

Oops. Should have wrote they didn't renew her contract.

by Anonymousreply 19November 24, 2020 11:16 PM

She's no Cokie Roberts or Martha Raddatz

by Anonymousreply 20November 24, 2020 11:16 PM

She’s a busted ass bitch and not just because she’s old

by Anonymousreply 21January 19, 2021 5:44 AM

It's time for her to retire from live daily broadcasts. I can't watch her, her speech is to slow and hesitant for today's fast paced media.

by Anonymousreply 22January 19, 2021 6:05 AM

Greenspan keeps her up all night pounding her pussy with his massive cut jewmeat. Jealous, bitches?

by Anonymousreply 23January 19, 2021 6:26 AM

I hope it is Chris Jansing who replaces her when the time comes.

by Anonymousreply 24January 19, 2021 6:48 AM

Maybe they are just waiting for her contract to run out. But I agree, she is unwatchable. They are not being kind by letting go on the air like that.

by Anonymousreply 25January 19, 2021 7:10 AM

She is AMAZING!

by Anonymousreply 26January 19, 2021 8:02 AM

Andrea Mitchell is only 74?

She looked old and brittle, very brittle when I saw her at parties in DC in the 1980s and 1990s.

by Anonymousreply 27January 19, 2021 8:27 AM

I miss Cokie Roberts, Candy Crowley and Campbell Brown. Christiane Amanpour is still on with International News and Suzanne Malveau is still reporting, but I wonder if she has a medical condition.

by Anonymousreply 28January 19, 2021 8:31 AM

Replace with Jeanne Moos

by Anonymousreply 29January 19, 2021 8:36 AM

I miss me too!

by Anonymousreply 30January 19, 2021 8:53 AM

Color Roberts was the epitome of DC insider conventional wisdom.

by Anonymousreply 31January 19, 2021 9:28 AM

Agreed, R31. Though if I recall correctly, Cokie Roberts turned cranky and markedly more conservative in her views and tone in her last years.

Nina Totenberg was my favorite of the NPR reporters with her coverage of the Supreme Court, delivered in deliciously long sentences and as a complete and complicated narrative, but smart, and a great pleasure to listen to her.

by Anonymousreply 32January 19, 2021 11:35 AM

Andrea ‘but her emails’ Mitchell is one of many pathetic reasons we’ve sunk so low.

by Anonymousreply 33January 19, 2021 1:04 PM

Andrea is melting down this morning /

by Anonymousreply 34February 24, 2021 5:34 PM

Yes, Mitchell was too fixated on the e mail BS but honestly that was the entire Washington DC media, not just Mitchell. The DC press (along with the New York times) have despised Bill and Hilary Clinton for over two decades. DC journalists are a pack of vile, snot nosed classist nerds who just never got over their resentment.

by Anonymousreply 35February 24, 2021 6:11 PM

She has been, R16. You youngsters know nothing about plastic surgery.

Cut her some slack, she just stayed up all night long sucking on that juicy Alan Greenspan cock!

by Anonymousreply 37February 24, 2021 6:35 PM

Both gay.

by Anonymousreply 38February 24, 2021 6:47 PM

I vaguely remember looking at her on the news in the 1970s or maybe early 80s. Anyway, I used to gawk at the screen looking at pockmarked skin and horrible dark, scraggly hair. It just fascinated me as a teenager how horrible she looked, so distracting, I never listened to what was coming out of her mouth. I think going blonde has taken the edge off her hard looks somewhat.

by Anonymousreply 39February 24, 2021 6:47 PM

Thanks for that photo, r36. I didn't see that when I posted at r39 but your photo captures what I used to see on TV.
