Is there any overlap?
When does Eggnog season begin and pumpkin spice season end?

Thanksgiving

It's 2020, who knows if you'll even survive to the end of the year. Put up a Christmas tree and light up those 4th of July fireworks while sipping Cinco De Mayo pumpkin spice margaritas. Who gives a shit anymore!

I was surprised to see egg nog in stores here in Los Angeles starting about a week or so ago.

I love eggnog but partner hates it. Had a hard time finding it locally last year. I don't care for anything pumpkin spice except for a big slice of pumpkin pie with whipped cream at Thanksgiving.

I saw egg nog for sale in the grocery store today.

You people buy eggnog? Make your own. Mine was very much like Martha's, but I only used cognac or brandy. I hate rum and bourbon.

What? Pumpkin spice eggnog is not a thing?

I saw it in my local grocery store this weekend. I am dieting and it is so fattening but will get some closer to Christmas.

R9, Trader Joe’s used to make an eggnog with dairy substitute, I think soy milk instead of milk, it wasn’t nearly as fattening.

Egg nog has been in my grocery stores for weeks now.

There's overlap as far as I'm concerned—I'd say the overlap occurs around late November. The pumpkin spice coffee creamers typically come in the holiday-themed packaging anyway. I've loved eggnog since I was a child. The dairy-free soy versions are pretty good too. I try to limit myself with it though, not because of the fat, but because of how much sugar is in it.

My Mom used to make it and it was sooooo good. There's also something in the South called Milk Punch that is also very good.

Fatty thread.
OP, do you weigh 300 or 600 pounds?

^^ That is one of the best tasting eggnogs on the market, lactose intolerant or not. It’s highly recommended.

My store had Holly Nog and Eggnog. I may try the Holly Nog as it is lower in calories and fat.

My stores had egg nog on the shelves at least two weeks before Halloween. I see some brands are trying to market it as a drink for that season now.

Dear OP,
Since November 2016, anything goes.
And for 2020, make it a double.

How do you make egg nog?
by Anonymous | reply 20 | November 12, 2020 3:38 AM |
r18 Is that any different from regular egg nog?
by Anonymous | reply 21 | November 12, 2020 3:44 AM |
r20 Here's Martha's recipe. Personally, I'd never drink anything with raw eggs, irrespective of the amount of alcohol.

When apple cider season ends?

I like store bought eggnog mixed with store bought chocolate milk. They were selling it one year at a ridiculous price and I started making my own.

Are you fat, R26?
by Anonymous | reply 27 | November 13, 2020 12:30 AM |
I love it but it’s got too many damn calories.

Sprinkle your Cheerios with nutmeg, then pour egg nog over (instead of milk) for a festive breakfast.

You can use Egg Nog to make French toast, too.

I love it as well but I don't buy it. I couldn't stop drinking it. Fortunately it's gotten very expensive which helps with temptation.
