But Look at the Online COMMENT Section...

Who takes this seriously as some sort of proof?

I see people saying it, even using it as a "reference" to support whatever stupid point they're making, but I don't understand why they think it means.

One can find "online comment sections" supporting human sacrifice, cannibalism, pedophilia and mayonnaise other than Duke's. It's all meaningless, self-selected nonsense.

Still high I see.

That’s like someone asking if you’ve “read the online reviews”. Why bother anymore. Most of them are so dumb or idiotic it’s pathetic.

by Anonymousreply 2October 30, 2020 9:55 PM

The sad truth is that most people aren't smart and interesting enough to contribute anything of value to a discussion or conversation.

"It's all meaningless, self-selected nonsense."

And yet you are reading and posting on a site that is basically one big comment section. Ponder that for a bit, won't you?

by Anonymousreply 4October 30, 2020 10:25 PM

YouTube has particularly dumb comments sections, but you will find some laugh-out-loud gems in there.

by Anonymousreply 5October 30, 2020 10:29 PM

I did "ponder that" r4 and I would never say to someone "Go read this thread on the Datalounge because it proves my point that everyone agrees with me on blahblahblahblah." I'm sure you don't do that either, none of us would do that because it's so ridiculously stupid.

And yet that is essentially what "Go look at the comments section in the Daily Mail (or whatever)" are saying. It's fucking bizarre.

by Anonymousreply 6October 30, 2020 10:48 PM

Isn't Datalounge an "All Comments" magazine?

by Anonymousreply 7October 30, 2020 11:02 PM

Yes it is, r7, would you cite a thread on the datalounge as proof?

I, myself, would not.

by Anonymousreply 8October 30, 2020 11:08 PM

I’m assuming most commenters are DLers

Yes, it is.
