They should have chosen Nicholas Hoult as Batman.

He is more like the character, with blue eyes and black hair, almost the same height as Batman 1.88, Hout 1.89 and seems to have a stronger body and better health than emo with a drugged and skinny face Pattinson.

by Anonymousreply 10October 28, 2020 7:28 AM

^ I agree. NH is very cute but weedy.

And these tedious comic movies are only for weedy, powerless adolescents who are fascinated by muscled bodies as an escape from the dreariness of their existence.

Biggest downgrade in CBM history but thank God for the SC and the fans common sense, now let’s just wait for ZSJL to make hundreds of millions of dollars and then WB would have to keep the Snyder verse going which means battinson the boy wonder staying in his own tiny universe.

by Anonymousreply 21October 28, 2020 8:27 AM

Edward is 30 and already suffers Alopecia. Robbert Pattinson the first Batman with baldness in history.

by Anonymousreply 22October 28, 2020 8:31 AM

Nick was so hot as the kid in Tom Ford’s A Single Man. The way he flaunts his assets in front of the grieving main character is masterful. You just want to fuck his sexy little brains out.

I approve. Batman needs to have sexy lips. He's got them.

by Anonymousreply 24October 28, 2020 8:41 AM

Pattinson is underrated as an actor and an interesting choice. I don’t watch super hero movies but I would be curious about this one. Micheal Keaton was the only Batman I’ve liked.

by Anonymousreply 32October 28, 2020 9:21 AM

Nicolas is too pretty or feminine looking for Batman, it's about the jawline, not the cock sucking lips.

by Anonymousreply 33October 28, 2020 11:20 AM

They should have cast Janet Mock as catwoman.

Now that’s a REAL woman.

by Anonymousreply 34October 28, 2020 11:46 AM

Ben Affleck had the right look to be Bruce Wayne. Robert Pattinson looks like he has a dead animal on his head.

by Anonymousreply 41October 28, 2020 4:09 PM

Hoult as Bond is a better choice. A softer heteroflexible Bond

by Anonymousreply 42October 28, 2020 4:15 PM

R22 Michael Keaton was balding when he did Batman

by Anonymousreply 43October 28, 2020 4:25 PM

Nick will be just the right age for Bond now that Craig is giving up the role after this next film.

by Anonymousreply 44October 28, 2020 4:25 PM

No. Hoult is fast aging out of his looks into some sort of praying mantis and can't act his way out of a paper bag. Hoult will be getting Clint Howard's roles soon...

by Anonymousreply 45October 28, 2020 4:49 PM

He looked fantastic in The Great. I don't see any premature aging.

R45 must be a Miss Universe who could harshly comment on the stunning beauty Nicholas like that! Oh, my sides.

by Anonymousreply 47October 28, 2020 4:55 PM

He's too twinky and wimpy to play a Batman

by Anonymousreply 48October 28, 2020 5:11 PM

Nicholas Hoult is the most boring looking “actor” in the world. Actor is in quotes because he can’t act for shit.

Affleck was a better Batman than anyone expected and Robert Pattinson is and will be terrible. Best Batman was Bale. They should probably take a break from Batman movies and recast someone from scratch.

by Anonymousreply 49October 28, 2020 5:53 PM

Nicholas Hoult is gorgeous. Those brows are magnificent. But he is way too pretty for Batman.

by Anonymousreply 50October 28, 2020 6:32 PM

by Anonymousreply 52October 30, 2020 2:28 AM

Hoult was really good in, "The Great". Batman? Bond? No.

by Anonymousreply 53October 30, 2020 2:30 AM

[quote]Batman 1.88, Hout 1.89

by Anonymousreply 54October 30, 2020 2:31 AM

Nicholas was sexy in "About a Boy". Yummmm!

by Anonymousreply 55October 30, 2020 2:31 AM

Too girly, not butch enough

by Anonymousreply 56October 30, 2020 2:32 AM

He was perfect in Skins. Totally represented millennial sexuality in the mid 2000’s. He’d make a great Bond. But with the comments from writers they’re probably going to cast a black tranny as Bond. As if Britain needed more chaos.

by Anonymousreply 57October 30, 2020 2:33 AM

He's fun as a cad : his character in "Skins", "The Favourite", "The Great" and "The History of the Kelly Gang".

by Anonymousreply 58October 30, 2020 2:34 AM

Christian Bale was great.

by Anonymousreply 59October 30, 2020 2:34 AM

Robert Pattinson looks/feels like a Batman to me. It’s impossible to get the looks of the comics. But Pattinson has an interesting look that definitely fits Batman.

He is also a good actor. People just aren’t giving him a chance because of Twilight but he has been spectacular in other roles.

by Anonymousreply 60October 30, 2020 2:37 AM

I agree R52 that it's a movie I will never see. I may watch parts of it when it comes on TV.

Similarly I lust for Henry Cavill but he only appears in cartoon movies directed at mind-dead millennials.

by Anonymousreply 61October 30, 2020 7:26 AM

Hoult (who has a beautiful and nice sized cock) has got a tall strong athletic build with some youth and elan. He could likely handle the physicality of Bond beautifully. I don't know if he can work up a quick-witted dangerous, icy-seductive face.

by Anonymousreply 62October 30, 2020 2:51 PM

^ As opposed to mind-dead baby boomers like yourself?

by Anonymousreply 63October 30, 2020 6:03 PM

38r Tim Burton's Batman is bad. Let's see why. Jim Gordon is transformed into a completely irrelevant character. Have transformed you on a stupid police chief. If Burton had treated his source material with more respect, Gordon would not be such a character irrelevant. Commissioner Gordon is one of the first Batman characters. He and Bruce Wayne appear together on the front page of Detective Comics # 27. He has an important role in all the great Batman comics of all time. Instead, it is transformed into a incompetent joke, which you probably don't even remember being on Burton's Batman. Tim Burton did not like comics. Quoting Burton: “I was never a big fan of comics, but I always loved the image of Batman and the Joker. The reason I was never a fan of comics - and I think it started when I was a kid - is because I never knew which box should read. I don't know if it was dyslexia or whatever, but that's why I loved Batman: The Killing Joke, because for the first time I was able to read it. ” The Joker character, like many characters in Burton's films, changes from scene to scene. The only thing really clear about him is that he is chasing the same woman as Bruce Wayne / Batman. He's nothing more than a gangster with mental illness, looking for revenge. In all of Batman's other media, Bruce Wayne is presented as a good, troubled man who dresses up as a bat at night. But during the day, and in the public eye, Bruce Wayne tries to project the false identity of the "billionaire, philanthropist and playboy". The problem is that, in this film, Bruce doesn't seem to have that facade. He doesn't seem to have any ethics and sleeps with a drunk woman. And, during several scenes, he he watches villains doing cowardly things while he just looks and does nothing. There is no personality difference between Bruce / Batman. Vicky Vale has no other purpose, except to be a woman in danger. The only good thing about the 1989 film was the Batmobile. The tone is inconsistent. You can't decide whether it's fun, or dark and mysterious. The worst thing about the 1989 Batman movie is that people think it's good. For anyone who thinks Tim Burton’s Batman is the best, I encourage you to come back and watch as an adult, trying to avoid any feeling of nostalgia. It's not a good movie, nor a good narrative of Batman's story.

They clearly want to work up to another ensemble movie like Justice League. They needed a new Batman to do so.

I imagine they’re keeping Gal Gadot as Wonder Woman, Jason Mamoa as Aquaman, the Shazams.

Henry Cavill might be out, and I think because of controversy they might replace Ezra Miller as well. Ray Fisher is def out as well.

I think Fisher is out, too; but he could still have a gig because if WB cuts him loose it looks like retaliation.

WB/DC is bullish on playing up the multiverse, so I believe that Pattinson's Batman is one Earth, with the Affleck Batman and JLA occupying another Earth. Just like how CW's Flash is on a different Earth from Miller's Flash.

by Anonymousreply 84November 1, 2020 1:33 AM

It's funny because DC made a HUGE deal of getting rid of their multiverse back in the 80s and for years everything was only in one universe but then they backtracked and brought back the multiverse.
