Was Jack Haley bi?
He seems so gay in 'The Wizard of Oz" (the only movie I ever have seen him in), but he was married and had two kids, so at most he was bi. But I've never herd any gossip about him. And his fey Boston accent may exacerbate his effeminacy.
Liza was his daughter-in-law for a while.

OP, are you a proponent of herd mentality?

I've seen three or four of his other movies, and he doesn't sound at all fey in them. He said that the way he talked in Oz was the way he would read his son bedtime stories. He's my favorite of Judy's three companions, incidentally.

*Sorry, I do know how "heard" is spelled--I didn't hit the "a" key hard enough.

Was he gayer than the Cowardly Lion? I hardly think so.

Was the Cowardly Lion the prototype for Snaggleputh?

The scarecrow. "Pardon me. That way is a very nice way...It's pleasant down that way too!...Of course, people do go both ways ."
