Dan Cortese is basically the equivalent of Rusty Joiner or Robert Gant, except he was a little luckier and a little more talented. All these men are so handsome and so beautifully built that they never had trouble finding at least cameo work or commercials going shirtless until their mid-50s; but at Dan had a little talent for comedy and so once upon a time also got some decent scripted stuff to do like "Veronica's Closet."

I don't think Dean Cain belongs in this group--he starred in a long-running TV show that decade, when none of the others did. (Maybe also Lopez, but even then he did not carry the show.) He's certainly far from the most talented in that group, but he was a genuine B-list star, and I don't think the others were.

I saw Dan Cortese at the Museum of Natural History with his wife and kids years ago, they were an adorable family. Dan is very cute, but tiny!
