John Mulaney

I know he's a nerd but I also think he's ridiculously handsome.

He had the "Sack Lunch Bunch" show but every time I saw that title I saw "John Mulaney's sack" and just thought about his hairy, hefty bull nuts.

He’s a gentle lover with a girthy dick. One of the best nights of my life.

by Anonymousreply 1October 25, 2020 2:16 PM

*girthy*

*FAINTS*

I only know of John Mulaney from his bits about Law And Order SVU.

He played a guy in “Difficult People” who dresses like it’s the 1890’s, except in this scene at the gym.

Yes, but only because God made him 3/4ths gay and then forgot to hit the final switch.

Ridiculously handsome? Hmmm

Doesn't someone on DL have it on good authority that he actually is gay and the wife is just a beard?

by Anonymousreply 12October 25, 2020 3:50 PM

He has the insight to acknowledge how gay he is and how everyone perceives him that way.

It's interesting - he is married, but have there ever been that many men who is around 75% gay and is not actually gay?

by Anonymousreply 13October 25, 2020 3:58 PM

Look -- gay, bi, or straight, I want him to rock my world.

by Anonymousreply 14October 25, 2020 4:03 PM

[quote]It's interesting - he is married, but have there ever been that many men who is around 75% gay and is not actually gay?

I've known a few over the years. One was a friend and people often assumed we were a couple. Of course that might only prove that I'm gay enough for two people.

by Anonymousreply 15October 25, 2020 4:06 PM

R15 - I know they exist, but I never fully believe that they are 100% straight. There are plenty of men who come out later in life.

I remember a stand-up comedian - can't remember his name as he has passed away - who was gayer than anything I've ever seen. He was married. Later in life he came out gay and asked - why didn't anyone tell me?

It's hard to believe no one even asked. But the denial can be very deep.

by Anonymousreply 16October 25, 2020 4:45 PM

[quote]his hairy, hefty bull nuts.

OP, proof please. John is sweet and handsome but looks like he owns a dainty ballsack.

by Anonymousreply 17October 25, 2020 5:23 PM

John Mulaney's beard growing ability isn't that great. I have no clue whether or not he's really gay, however.

Kevin Meaney?

by Anonymousreply 20October 25, 2020 5:46 PM

John is starting to age, but he wasa very cute. I have friends who knew him well at Georgetown.

by Anonymousreply 21October 25, 2020 5:50 PM

Love him. Wildly talented. Salt 'n Pepper diner is the greatest section of a stand-up ever. Go watch all his stand-ups on Netflix. Consistently very, very funny and charming. He is hosting SNL next Saturday as well.

by Anonymousreply 22October 25, 2020 5:51 PM

R21, did your friends say if he's a top or bottom?

by Anonymousreply 23October 25, 2020 5:52 PM

R20 - DING! Yep - that's the one - Kevin Meaney. I was thinking Mooney for some reason and couldn't find him.

by Anonymousreply 24October 25, 2020 5:53 PM

He was messy, but straight R23. Sorry.

by Anonymousreply 25October 25, 2020 5:53 PM

The upcoming host of SNL. I’m expecting another musical number.

by Anonymousreply 26October 25, 2020 6:15 PM

He was the opening act to Trevor Noah at Loyola University. Both were funny but I think John was even more funny.

by Anonymousreply 27October 25, 2020 6:28 PM

He is very honest about not being at all athletic, and the photo of him in a towel seems to be proof of that. Both he and Mikey Day have the same willowy build, but I am still drawn to them.

by Anonymousreply 28October 25, 2020 6:53 PM

He's very attractive and charming and I've found his stand up to be incredibly funny. Seems like a nice, decent guy, too. What's not to love?

He gives me slight Tom Hanks vibes. They both have that same kind of likability and charm.

by Anonymousreply 29October 25, 2020 6:58 PM

It's those guys with thin frames and almost concave chests that unzip and it's like

*thwack*

an elephant trunk falls out.

by Anonymousreply 30October 25, 2020 7:01 PM

There is a lot to love about John Mulaney. He is the best SNL host in quite a long time.

His "Cha Cha Slide" sketch was one of my favorites. He just has such a sense of fun about him and he wasn't bad at dancing either.

He did say he was on Wellbutrin for anxiety at a talk with Bill Hader.

by Anonymousreply 31October 25, 2020 7:02 PM

Being around Bill Hader would cause anyone to need psychotropic drugs.

by Anonymousreply 32October 25, 2020 7:30 PM

He kind of reminds me of early 80s gay porn star Tim Richards.

Mulaney would have fit right in with the William Higgins stable of models from that era as a pass around bottom.

by Anonymousreply 39October 25, 2020 8:53 PM

There is nothing shallow or stereotypical about that statement r38. You're just being an ass to show how smart you think you are.

by Anonymousreply 40October 25, 2020 8:53 PM

He’s very cute and charming. Dreamy.

by Anonymousreply 41October 25, 2020 8:55 PM

Throwing it out there, but I'd love to be the meat in a Hader-Mulaney sandwich.

by Anonymousreply 42October 25, 2020 9:03 PM

That would be nice r42.

We had a poster on here whose male friend had an affair with Bill while filming It 2 and Hader's got a big dick.

by Anonymousreply 43October 25, 2020 9:09 PM

Somebody in the popular celebrity gossip thread said that John Mulaney should considered be a DL icon.

by Anonymousreply 44October 25, 2020 9:17 PM

I love John and think his stand-up is hilarious but there's something between his stand-up and his sketch/tv writing that just doesn't connect. His sitcom was unwatchable, the Sack Lunch Bunch was painfully unfunny and Documentary Now is the kind of show people like to pretend is funny because they think it makes them look sophisticated. And let's not even get started with the shit show that is SNL.

by Anonymousreply 45October 25, 2020 9:24 PM

His musical theatre interest is wonderful. Who else would do a parody of the Pennebaker Company documentary? His artwork for Sack Lunch Bunch was based on ACL and no theatre queen can miss it.

There's something genuine about him and unlike other comics, he seems like a really cool guy. I think he and Conan are in that category.

by Anonymousreply 46October 25, 2020 9:45 PM

R45 So it can't just be that people might find different things funny? No, if you don't find it funny it has to be completely unfunny and people are only pretending to like it so they seem smart? Just how insecure are you?

by Anonymousreply 47October 25, 2020 9:47 PM

Mulaney’s the kind of cute/hot guy you wanna pound really hard and then snap him in two like a twig.

by Anonymousreply 48October 25, 2020 9:48 PM

Agree r46. They’re witty, wimpy men, who are so damn funny it makes them irresistible, and plus the elephant trunk. Love both of them. I think I inherently like that dry, Harvard Lampoon thing.

R19, that would make very interesting casting, but I have such a soft spot for Jim Parsons. I thought he was good in the role. Don’t yell at me.

by Anonymousreply 49October 25, 2020 9:49 PM

[quote] No, if you don't find it funny it has to be completely unfunny and people are only pretending to like it so they seem smart?

Yes.

by Anonymousreply 50October 25, 2020 9:59 PM

[quote]Mulaney’s the kind of cute/hot guy you wanna pound really hard and then snap him in two like a twig.

"Snap him like a twig"? Why? At no point in watching him do any of his hilarious routines have I ever had an urge to do him bodily harm. Maybe with my penis, but that's all in good fun. "Snap him like a twig"? You're some fucked-up shit, bitch.

by Anonymousreply 51October 25, 2020 11:17 PM

[quote]I love John and think his stand-up is hilarious but there's something between his stand-up and his sketch/tv writing that just doesn't connect.

I didn't think I'd like the Sack Lunch Bunch but it turns out I liked it a lot. It was his comedy through and through.

As an aside, I thought it was great when he switched from, "My wife and I aren't in a rush to have children," to "My wife and I don't want children" in his act.

Here's a link to "HBO’s Barry: A conversation with Bill Hader and John Mulaney" but it ends up not being much about Barry at all so it's fine if you don't watch the show.

It's really just the two of them riffing off each other for an hour and thirty minutes. They keep trying to get back on track but they keep wandering off. It's a must watch if you love either of them.

by Anonymousreply 52October 25, 2020 11:46 PM

Why are people saying Bill Hader is crazy? That’s too bad. Barry is a great show and he’s fantastic in it.

by Anonymousreply 53October 26, 2020 12:34 AM

Bill Hader has issues with anxiety, self-esteem and his sexuality, but he's not crazy.

by Anonymousreply 54October 26, 2020 1:20 AM

I'd swallow is babies.

To me he's hotter than any muscle jock or dudebro.

Maybe it's the self-confidence / self deprication dichotomy.

by Anonymousreply 55October 26, 2020 1:24 AM

Me too r55. Cute nerdy guys are like catnip to me, so much more appealing than the jock/bro types.

by Anonymousreply 56October 26, 2020 1:29 AM

R55/R56 He has a beautiful back, bum, and feet too. I wish I could recall the spread, but saw some pics of him, nearly naked in a magazine interview, sprawled in a chair, shirtless and barefoot. I've seen pics of his bum on tumblr before the crackdown.

by Anonymousreply 57October 26, 2020 2:08 AM

R57 “Bum” “Crackdown” hehehe

by Anonymousreply 58October 26, 2020 2:37 AM

I don't find him attractive, but I can see why others do. He has a great old-timey affect, especially in his voice, and I'd love to see him as the star of a satirical take on old Hollywood movies.

by Anonymousreply 59October 26, 2020 2:56 AM

One thing I like about him (and also Bill Hader) is that they're genuinely talented and very funny guys who are "classy" guys, for lack of a better word.

So many entertainers today are untalented trashbags and media whores, our pop culture is so crass and low-class now, it's refreshing to see guys like them.

by Anonymousreply 60October 26, 2020 3:25 AM

R57, are you talking about Mulaney or Heder?

by Anonymousreply 61October 26, 2020 3:25 AM

[quote]There is nothing shallow or stereotypical about that statement [R38].

Don't pretend to misunderstand. There's more to life than inventing reasons to be pissy.

There's real reasons to be angry, like the fact that Bill Hader has made out with Paul Rudd and I haven't. Or vice versa.

by Anonymousreply 73November 1, 2020 6:40 PM

Mulaney might have been a good host on something like I Can See Your Voice or The Masked Singer, where his sardonic yet knowing persona would do well.

by Anonymousreply 74November 1, 2020 7:50 PM

Hader and Mulaney could tag team me, as long as they didn't mind sloshing around in the other's loads while they took turns.

Stop me if you’ve heard this, but Hader’s crack ups while playing the Stefan character on SNL were often due to SNL writer Mulaney making late edits to the script. Hader would break character trying to read from a cue card funny lines he was seeing for the first time.

by Anonymousreply 104May 18, 2021 2:00 AM

Help me to understand your thinking, R102. He gets sober, realizes he’s gay & he divorces his wife to start a life as his true self. Then, in pursuit of that, he enters into a sham relationship so that the world will not think he’s gay. But if that was his goal, why then divorce his wife, who was already providing him the cover her supposedly wants?!

by Anonymousreply 105May 18, 2021 8:08 AM

^ Because Datalounge logic stipulates that if a straight male celebrity is remotely attractive, then he's actually gay and just hasn't come out of the closet yet.

[quote] "Anna Marie Tendler set the table for two but she eats alone"

[Quote]Tendler captured a photo sitting down to dinner at a formal dining room in the home she’s been photographed in for months. Two plates are set and candles dance in between the place settings. Tendler is shown seated at the table, clearly alone, looking wanting at the empty chair in front of her. She’s dressed in a flowing white gown and captioned the image, “Dinner In March.”

There's more along those lines in the article about her "art" (Instagram photos of herself lounging around all by herself in some big old house).

At first I felt sorry for her but she sounds insufferable.
