My best friend’s nephew is a millennial. He still lives at home after completing college on his parents dime. He never worked a day while in college and is now in his 30s. He smokes pot and plays video games. Parents bought him call and pays cell phone.

I'm a millenial and I am so discontent with my life now! I want to work, but have gotten a placement in a master's programme. Covid numbers are rising rapidly. I am working part-time with colleagues who are not that good at wearing masks, so I might get infected. I also worry about getting older and about having 'wasted' a lot of my life. I have zero friends.

R23 They always have been obsessed with relevancy, they were the desperate to be cool generation. They failed. My generation realized popularity was a fallacy, it explains why most "millennial" tv shows don't have the stereotypical jocks, cheerleaders and geek roles. We knew being popular didn't really amount to anything because we were able to see everyone's parents were pretty much all the same, sad and hollow versions of what they told themselves they would be. So we are comfortable with who we are, unlike the bitter boomers and the sad gen x.
