I remember that storyline vividly when I was in college. I remember thinking they had a really strong cast of teenage characters with strong ties to nearly every important legacy ANC family- Cortlandt, Santos, Martin... The gay teacher was HOT. At one time, Ben was also engaged to Mike Tyson.

Ben was very good on AMC. So was T.C. Warner, who played Kelsey. They should kept them around. It's too bad neither worked much post AMC.

I was surprised Gaskill got work on multiple other soaps. He was a mediocre actor at best, even for soap standards. He was lucky he was pretty back then.

Ben Jorgensen never really sought out acting work - he was more interested in working behind the scenes doing editing. Eeven his role on As The World Turns, he didn't have to audition. The former producer of All My Children moved over to ATWT and she just offered Ben the part of Chris Hughes - no audition required.

At that time AMC stopped booking Ben (as he was just recurring) - once his role on ATWT finished, he just continued working on his editing projects.

I had a crush on him. I even tried to find any new info on him recently. Sorry to hear this.
