Amazing. Huge contrast with what Republicans are offering.

Dems got a lot of great people waiting in the wings to become a future POTUS!
by Anonymous | reply 1 | October 1, 2020 1:11 AM |
she's great!
by Anonymous | reply 2 | October 1, 2020 1:12 AM |
She's a goddamn GODDESS
by Anonymous | reply 3 | October 1, 2020 1:16 AM |
If she were a Republican, this thread would be 600 posts of fat jokes.
by Anonymous | reply 4 | October 1, 2020 1:16 AM |
She needs to lose about 80 lbs. before she can graduate to the Senate. And I mean this as a health issue.
by Anonymous | reply 5 | October 1, 2020 1:19 AM |
BUt she's not R4. Rep Porter is a good woman. I want to know more information on her.
by Anonymous | reply 6 | October 1, 2020 1:19 AM |
r4 types fat.
by Anonymous | reply 7 | October 1, 2020 1:19 AM |
R5 can blow me, and I mean this as a health issue.
by Anonymous | reply 8 | October 1, 2020 1:21 AM |
She was a protege of Kamala Harris and has a good shot at replacing Harris in the Senate if Biden wins. She's definitely one to watch.

by Anonymous | reply 10 | October 1, 2020 1:22 AM |
R9 Cool, I didn't know that about Rep Porter.
by Anonymous | reply 11 | October 1, 2020 1:36 AM |
LOVE her! He’s frozen with fear.
by Anonymous | reply 12 | October 1, 2020 1:59 AM |
For those commenting on her weight: that, along with her mom hair and her discount-mall wardrobe, are some of her superpowers.
by Anonymous | reply 13 | October 1, 2020 2:46 AM |
I'd love to see her promoted to senator. But I also love her helping keep Orange County all blue for a change. Maybe the new Nancy some day?
by Anonymous | reply 14 | October 1, 2020 2:52 AM |
She should be fucking president
by Anonymous | reply 15 | October 1, 2020 2:55 AM |
She's Warren's protegee.
She should be Treasury Secretary, not some banker.
by Anonymous | reply 16 | October 1, 2020 3:02 AM |
When she retires, she needs to donate her whiteboard to the Smithsonian. It will definitely be iconic by then.
by Anonymous | reply 17 | October 1, 2020 3:06 AM |
Love her.
If the world were just, she absolutely would move on to be a senator and eventually president.
She's better than any of the gazillion candidates that we had running in the democratic presidential primary.
by Anonymous | reply 18 | October 1, 2020 3:12 AM |
Katie Porter also got the head of the CDC to agree people wouldn’t be charged for covid tests. I looked at local hospital site today & people are being charged for covid tests.
by Anonymous | reply 19 | October 1, 2020 3:20 AM |
"Do you know what this number is? Does it ring any bells?"
by Anonymous | reply 20 | October 1, 2020 3:21 AM |
She's one of the smartest people in Congress.
by Anonymous | reply 21 | October 1, 2020 3:26 AM |
Katie Porter is fantastic on every possible level. We can try like hell to get her on the fast track but she is still a freshman in the House. She's got a big future.
California has many people in congress, and government/politics in general, who would like a crack at the Senate. Gavin Newsome has a big field to choose from. I'd like him to send Maxine Waters to the Senate just to fuck with them.
by Anonymous | reply 22 | October 1, 2020 3:36 AM |
She told Colbert that being a teacher prepared her for questioning these incompetent Republicans.
by Anonymous | reply 23 | October 1, 2020 3:49 AM |
I love Katie Porter! I hope she has a long career. She's very down to earth and has zero pretensions, which is refreshing in a politician.
by Anonymous | reply 24 | October 1, 2020 4:33 AM |
Observing Katie Porter at work so frequently makes reading the endless AOC hosannahs so maddening. Katie Porter is the future of the Democratic Party, not the camera hogging do-nothing from Queens.
by Anonymous | reply 25 | October 1, 2020 4:53 AM |
Thanks, R8, but I don't do old fat farts. Sorry.
by Anonymous | reply 26 | October 1, 2020 5:02 AM |
Love Katie, she doesn't suffer fools at all.
by Anonymous | reply 27 | October 1, 2020 5:04 AM |
R25 There's room enough for both. Especially since AOC is fighting the same fight and will have her whiteboard moments
by Anonymous | reply 28 | October 1, 2020 5:26 AM |
She is brilliant.
by Anonymous | reply 29 | October 1, 2020 6:15 AM |
When this bitch comes toward you with a whiteboard and a dry erase marker, you'd best run! Fucking queen.
by Anonymous | reply 30 | October 1, 2020 6:24 AM |
Here's where she first became known for her whiteboarding.
by Anonymous | reply 31 | October 1, 2020 6:26 AM |
I ♥️ R8 !
by Anonymous | reply 32 | October 1, 2020 6:37 AM |
She should run for POTUS.
Wouldn't it be fabulous to have a Candidate/President whose not collecting Social Security ?
by Anonymous | reply 33 | October 1, 2020 6:44 AM |
🤓 Where did that fellow @ R20 get those great looking glasses?
by Anonymous | reply 34 | October 1, 2020 6:49 AM |
Her key advantage is that she is YOUNG. Notice there are much fewer young Republicans which makes me hope that those ancient dinosaurs in the GOP that we have now will simply die off. (Face it, Repigs will have to reinvent themselves).
by Anonymous | reply 36 | October 1, 2020 8:43 AM |
She is a fantastic person and I wouldn't change a thing about her, love her to pieces.
by Anonymous | reply 37 | October 1, 2020 9:56 AM |
She's amazing--she teases out the simplest thing in the most devastating way
by Anonymous | reply 38 | October 1, 2020 4:35 PM |
People always go on about how everyone should be President. Things would be so much better if they actually understood the roles within our government. I want Katie Porter to remain the legislative branch, creating bills. Not signing them.
Honestly, educate yourselves.
by Anonymous | reply 39 | October 1, 2020 4:52 PM |
We're starved for competence, r39. I agree that she should remain in the legislative branch, at least for the time being. She's good at shredding fat cats.
Truman was good at investigating government contracts and holding people's feet to the fire. People became so fond of him for that, FDR chose him as a running mate. Who knows what Porter's future holds.
by Anonymous | reply 40 | October 1, 2020 6:54 PM |
She knows exactly how to come at people in the questioning in this hearings. That's why people love her so much. They feel as though they have someone in a high standing position of power speaking for them as she does.
She really does represent everyday people in America.
by Anonymous | reply 41 | October 1, 2020 10:41 PM |
The House is a rat-fuck, I doubt she'll stay there for the long haul. Porter's a freshman now but she's already made a big name for herself. She can write her own ticket.
by Anonymous | reply 42 | October 2, 2020 7:12 PM |
She won reelection tonight, and handily, in what was until recently (and may still be) a GOP district.
Go Katie!
by Anonymous | reply 43 | November 4, 2020 6:35 AM |
Excellent!
by Anonymous | reply 44 | November 5, 2020 11:37 PM |
She and mayor Pete would be a formidable ticket...
