R13 to be fair, she's quite pudgy and has bad acne in that photo--that looks like it was taken in her late teens if I were to guess. Around the time Hole started, though, she'd had a nose job, lost weight, and looked good in my opinion. She could've stopped after nose job number 1 and probably would have been fine, but she went beyond the point of no return with plastic surgery a long time ago.

Totally channeling Barbara! She looked much better with her real nose. Her morph to blonde bombshell looks more like blonde suburban frau with too much money, time, and a good hookup for the bad shit.

R20 I honestly think she looks much more like her mother. Her dad has always looked like an obese Italian deli owner from New Jersey, and I don't see a lot of similarities between their features. He is veritably crazy, though, which is probably where a lot of her mental dysfunction comes from. Courtney has always projected her problems onto her mother, but I think a lot of why she is fucked up has to do with her dad. Her mom may have shuffled Courtney around and been an absent bourgeois hippie bitch, but to her credit, at least she did not feed her daughter LSD—which cannot be said of Hank. I also think Hank likely molested Courtney, which Courtney has said her mother also claimed (though she doesn't believe it). It would explain why all of the artwork from Hole's first album has been likened to "the scrapbook of an incest victim."

Now all she needs to do is crimp her hair and record a Broadway album.

Ed Norton used to fuck her. That shows how crazy HE is. I mean, you would expect drug addled rock stars to fuck her (they'll fuck anything), but he was educated, from a respectable family. She said they were going to get married but that didn't happen. I guess he kind of wised up. Or maybe not. He ended up marrying a high school dropout who somehow became a producer of schlock comedies.

Corgan is married to an Asian and had a cute Asian boy, he ain't dating this trash again. Let's not forget not even Diva Corgan was able to deal with this nut. She wanted to control his career and the band and he wasn't having it.

Courtney Love seems to be a total cunt, it's been repeated so many times everywhere that you just have to believe it, but I can't help but love some songs from Hole. They could've possibly done great things had they kept their shit together.

I'm still not totally buying the narrative that Love killed Kurt Cobain. The world has gone to shit because people believe insane conspiracy theories without questioning anything which is why I refuse to do the same. However anything is obviously possible so you never know.

R43 amen. I recognize her personality flaws, but I think anyone who tries to discredit her band is wasting their time. Hole was a great group, at times even brilliant. Courtney is a clever lyricist when she's focused, and she had a solid group of musicians around her. Not a great singer, but a great screamer, and her voice was always distinct and emotive, so her lack of technical skill didn't really matter. Eric Erlandson also doesn't get enough credit for his contributions to the band—his guitar instrumentation is really what held the whole show together, as Courtney has always been pretty limited with what she can do with a guitar. Unfortunately, people give all the dues to Kurt Cobain, which is shitty and ignorant when you consider there were three other people aside from Courtney in the band.

I don't think love looks bad here. I've seen far more appalling plastic surgery over the years. My favorite crazy Courtney moment is when she interrupted Madonna's interview with some vh1 guy. Sorry can't link now.
