She's been unusually lovely her whole life. Very pretty but not because of long lashes or a distinguished nose of voluptuous lips. No blonde hair or blue eyes. I've never seen her done up in pounds of colorful makeup. She has a gorgeous face shape and harmonious features. Beautiful subtle coloring that is all her own. Delicate without looking like a doll. Just incredibly beautiful. This is going to sound strange, but if you watch Searching For Debra Winger.... there are many, many actresses featured in that unfocused documentary. But just see Diane Lane in some bistro or coffee shop, running her hands through her hair while she speaks - she's mesmerizingly beautiful. Diane Lane is so pretty that she would look wrong in long false eyelashes and plumped up red lips or with her hair done up too polished or severe. The woman is more beautiful than most anyone else on film in the last 30 years. Of course - just watch Unfaithful. She has small eyes and heavy lids, a kind of pug nose and not a lot of contrast to her coloring. And she is radiant.

R10 I know I’m in the minority but I’m not a big fan of huge saucer eyes like that — especially when they’re dark. Being wide set is the most important thing imo and after that, I find almond shaped eyes like Diane Lane’s to be prettier.
