Why Jennifer Paige's musical career didn't take off?

Was it because she looked like an Ice Queen WASP?

Or because Britney's appearance in the scene some months after her effectively ended her career?

What was the follow up single? I can't even recall an attempt.

by Anonymousreply 1September 11, 2020 6:15 AM

I always liked that song.

by Anonymousreply 2September 11, 2020 6:17 AM

The follow-up.

It's okay, but it sounds like a hundred other songs by female solo artists of the late 90's.

She had no personality

by Anonymousreply 4September 11, 2020 8:02 AM

She's gay, no?

by Anonymousreply 5September 11, 2020 8:32 AM

The one guy in the video looks familiar.

by Anonymousreply 6September 11, 2020 8:36 AM

Wrong timing.

by Anonymousreply 7September 11, 2020 8:37 AM

She changed her name to Megyn Kelly and changed her career thereafter.

That Crush song was so overplayed on the radio that having never thought of it in at least 20 years, I can still remember the lyrics.

by Anonymousreply 9September 11, 2020 3:54 PM

It's a classic pop song. The follow up was dismal.

by Anonymousreply 10September 11, 2020 4:00 PM

I loved the remix

It's former actor Branden Williams, he was also on Will & Grace. He's in real estate now

She was made for Muzak! Which is why you hear that garbage every time you go grocery shopping.

by Anonymousreply 13September 11, 2020 5:07 PM

Was I the only one who thought that was Mariah when Crush first came out?

by Anonymousreply 14September 11, 2020 5:10 PM

I like this sing of hers

I always lump her in with Merril Bainbridge, Natalie Imbruglia, Donna Lewis and The Corrs. All one hit wonder stuff(at least in the US).

by Anonymousreply 16September 11, 2020 5:21 PM

I had literally forgotten this song existed ,yet I still remember every word . I actually liked it way back when .

by Anonymousreply 17September 11, 2020 5:24 PM

She had the career I wanted.

by Anonymousreply 18September 11, 2020 5:24 PM

The song at R3 is hard to get thru once.

by Anonymousreply 19September 11, 2020 5:30 PM

This is another single she released "These Days"

Her most recent album came out in 2017 with the single "Devil's in the Details". The song surprised me, it's a really good mid-tempo dance track.

She sounded too much like Mariah Carey to break out and establish herself individually.

by Anonymousreply 23September 25, 2020 11:21 PM

It’s because she sucks. I confuse her with that bitch who sang the them song for the hills all the time.
