R1 he really aged quite well I never would have predicted.

Maybe men (and some women) with big honkers just “grow into them?” I’m not talking about surgery, but maybe it all somehow becomes more distinguished as you get older.

Rod Stewart was never traditionally handsome, but he looks 100 times better than Mick Jagger, with that sagging face full of wrinkles.

A bit off topic, but I liked it when physically unattractive people could be major musicians and performers of note with less concern for image.

Ringo Starr was always so charming he didn't need looks! Still is.

And I've always been amazed that Elton John had the career he did, he looked like an uncooked pork pie. And he doesn't have sex appeal or a charming personality to make up for his looks.

The point, R10, is that it is about veneers and money-making potential over talent. That attitude was always an element in the industry but far worse now, it seems. R11, it’s fairly unlikely Ringo would have ever succeeded as he did without being a charter member of possibly the most revered pop group of all time to date. And yes, ol’ Reg could make it then, but I wouldn’t be so sure now. Thanks for proving my point.

Not classically hot but I find John Lennon very attractive, more so than Paul was. Paul looked best with the beard during the Let it Be era.

There really are a lot of homely rocker frontmen: Tom Petty, Marilyn Manson, Ric Osac, Danny Elfman, and today, Ed Sheehan. (I guess there were homely female rockers too: Amy Winehouse, Janis Joplin, PJ Harvey...)

On what planet is McCartney hot? Not even when young. George Harrison was the best looking and got better with age.

Paul was absolutely the most popular Beatle when they were The Beatles. All the girls adored him.

The Clash were not hot? Joe Strummer was fine, and even Mick Jones was a thrill at that point. Paul Simenon was called the handsomest man in London for quite some time, and is still half a snack.

I found Steve Perry to be the most unattractive of them all. I just can't bear to look at him though he's not ugly ugly.
