He went gray about three or four years ago, and then started coloring it again. Probably for acting roles.

Honestly, if he wants to make the move from cute twink to grown-up leading man, and at 28 it's high time, letting the natural gray show is one way to tell the world you're fully mature and expect to be treated that way. I think it looks good, although of course it'll only look good as long as his hair is full and thick. He also needs to keep his eyes and eyelashes dark for the next 30-40 years, nothing ages a face like letting your eyebrows go gray.

I just watched him in a rather silly somber movie about a kid who writes a massive best-selling, Pulitzer-nominated novel in his spare time in high school. He plays the character at three different ages. One problem is the few times we hear his writing, it’s dreadful. The second is he keeps his clothes on. Even a brief shot of him bathing is shoulders-up from behind.

r32, The Vanishing of Sidney Hall. Such a morose little film. My big problem is that the film takes him from 16 to in his forties and Lerman, even with a raggedy beard, could not pull it off. Elle Fanning wasn't so bad off because she looks more mature than he does.

R40, if you don't think he's talented, there's no convincing you, but he has been thoroughly believable in Jack and Bobby, 3:10 to Yuma (more than keeping up with Christian Bale and Russell Crowe), and The Perks of Being a Wallflower. I also liked him a lot in the movie with Tracy Letts where he was a nice Jewish boy in college in the 50s. He's good in Hunters although the show itself is horrible.

With the long hair, he looks a bit like DL fav Aaron Taylor-Johnson.

The boyishly handsome face is in contrast to the premature grey. A college friend of mine was the same way, his face looked 15 but he had grey hair at 19-20.

Regardless of color, that hair length is working WAY better for him than it ever has when shorter. Don't anybody let him know when barber shops open back up!

Agreed. When I saw interviews for "Hunters" he always came off as very serious.

He came from money so his career makes sense. He likely doesn't need it and he doesn't really seem "hungry" for fame so he essentially does what he likes.

There isn't really a set Jewish look because Ashkenazi are mixed with the general European population. I think they are half Mediterranean and half Eastern European according to genetic research. So they can look pretty diverse despite sharing common ancestry. Neither Zac or Logan have stereotypical Mediterranean/Middle Eastern looking features

A close friend of mine already had significant amount of grey hair in college. He was almost totally grey by late 30s.
