The plot on this episode of Friends was completely derisible.
But it was perfectly written and acted anyway.

The only reason I watch Friends now is to count the homophobic remarks/reactions in each episode. There's usually multiple ones.

R5 sounds like a really full life. The only time I watch Friends these days is when I travel. When you're in a hotel room, there are two guarantees while channel surfing: Friends and SVU
