Everyone was laughing about his "mental illness" but it was all part of his plan to steal votes away from Biden and get Trump re-elected.
He's already on the ballot in some states and filed in others.

Fuck him--he is both mentally ill and a travesty.
by Anonymous | reply 2 | August 7, 2020 12:10 AM |
What a fucking piece of shit! And don't forget the millions of dollars he got from the list bill passed, by misrepresenting himself as a small business owner.

Well duh...I hope the backlash is swift & severe, not all for this nutter but the entire Kardashian clan

No one is going to vote for him except some very low-information blacks.

trump is exploiting mental illness; his own and Kanye’s.
by Anonymous | reply 6 | August 7, 2020 12:15 AM |
He probably appeals more to young Trumptards who love both 2000s country and hip hop music. They're always around 10 to 15 years behind the pop culture curve out there.

Jill Stein, Kanye Kardashian...

Kanye will get like next to no votes. I wouldn't worry about it.
by Anonymous | reply 10 | August 7, 2020 12:24 AM |
I'm sure you are working overtime to make sure NO ONE is worried about Kanye OR Trump, right R10?
"Joe's got it made! No need to even vote!"
by Anonymous | reply 11 | August 7, 2020 12:25 AM |
R10: Oh no, he will get some black male votes. Make no mistake about it, there's a current of young black males who liked Trump, at least at the beginning, and will vote for Kanye just because. These are the type of people who didn't vote for Hillary because no woman gives them order. A black female VP pick will piss them off further, though this type hates Biden anyway.
The real problem is that phony twink Chance the Rapper, who endorsed old poop pants. That could be a problem as well in terms of influence....
by Anonymous | reply 12 | August 7, 2020 12:31 AM |
Fuck this garbage jackass! So sick of the "He's mentally ill, leave Kanye alone!" excuse. IDC! He's a p.o.s.! You can definitely still be a sack of shit, even if you're a wacko.
by Anonymous | reply 13 | August 7, 2020 12:32 AM |
Obviously he's supposed to hurt Joe Biden; that's why the Republicans are pushing his candidacy. But is there any chance he'll take away votes from Trump instead? E.g. by voters who would normally vote for the wackadoo celebrity but have come to distrust Trump?
Oh, R12 just answered my question: young black men who voted for Trump the first time and now have a better lunatic. Some young white and Latino idiots, too, maybe?
by Anonymous | reply 14 | August 7, 2020 12:32 AM |
Black people cheered when guilty criminals OJ and Michael Jackson were ruled "Not Guilty!" so... well...
by Anonymous | reply 15 | August 7, 2020 12:33 AM |
R14: I'm sure. A good chunk of young straight men in general in this country, regardless of color, definitely have this burn-it-all down, fuck the world mentality. I don't understand it, but then again, I'm gay and well into my 30s.
by Anonymous | reply 16 | August 7, 2020 12:34 AM |

Was there anyone that did not realize that this is why he was doing it?
by Anonymous | reply 17 | August 7, 2020 12:36 AM |
Yes, LOTS of posters here thought Kanye Kardashian was ACTUALLY running for President. They'd mock the concept, not even addressing it when the vote siphoning was mentioned.

R18, people mocked the concept of Kanye siphoning off votes, because it’s not going to happen. There are number of things that could wrong with the election but this mental piece of shit isn’t one of them. He’ll probably have 5 or 6 more breakdowns before Election Day, get on about 3 ballots and capture about 10 votes. I can’t think of anything more chicken little than worrying about that dumb fuck.

by Anonymous | reply 25 | August 7, 2020 1:00 AM |
It's such an odd strategy that Kush and Ivanka probably came up with. The idea behind it doesn't really make much sense if you consider those that would vote for Kanye are probably the exact people the GOP have worked tirelessly to disenfranchise and have probably already been removed from the voter rolls.
by Anonymous | reply 26 | August 7, 2020 1:01 AM |
He is being funded and propped up by Republicans
by Anonymous | reply 27 | August 7, 2020 1:02 AM |
Because that is what’s going to happen, r25. Doesn’t mean I won’t do I everything I can to GOTV for Joe Biden but worrying about Kanye is both ridiculous and pointless—it’s not like there’s anything one can do to stop some nutbag from running if he wants to.
Oh, you can screech and wring your hands on datalounge cause that’s super useful. Why don’t you channel your anxiety into calling and texting for Biden and forget about the Kardashians?

Kanye West really isn't trying to hurt Biden as much as he is trying to help Trump. After all West received between $2 million and $5 million from the Trump administration. The Biden administration will give West nothing, Trump is buying votes with out tax dollars, tax dollars the poor didn't get, tax dollars from you and me.
by Anonymous | reply 33 | August 7, 2020 1:10 AM |
And yet he'll still end up with more black support than Biden. Ridiculous. At this point I'm rooting for Trump, we deserve four more years of Hitler since we haven't learned how to fucking behave like human beings with working brains yet.
by Anonymous | reply 34 | August 7, 2020 1:11 AM |
It doesn't matter. He could wear a MAGA hat and black people would still massively support him and kiss his feet for no reason other than the fact that he himself is a black celebrity. Oh wait, he already did wear a MAGA hat, how could I forget?

No, r44, because there were actual things to worry about in 2016 (not that hand wringing about them on a little message board that maybe 100 people read did anything about it). And there are things to worry about this year, but Kanye isn’t one.
What I did do in 2016 was spend months registering voters and campaigning for HRC. And you? Did you do anything other than fondle yourself while worrying about things on DL? Do you intend to do anything productive this year? Or are you just going to worry a lot on DL again while issuing racist statements about all the blacks who are so dumb they’ll vote for Kanye?

by Anonymous | reply 52 | August 7, 2020 1:57 AM |
It'd be foolish not to take this as a threat. Third party candidates, especially one as famous as Kanye, will definitely siphon votes away from, most likely, Biden. And yes, Ivanka and Jared are rubbing their hands together in glee.
Kanye's planning on running again in 2024. Let's hope he finishes himself off before then.
by Anonymous | reply 53 | August 7, 2020 1:58 AM |
Biden's votes will go "to" Kanye, and Trump ekes by a win, as orchestrated all along by Putin, Trump and Jared.

If he and his wife are Calif residents, that state would have jurisdiction if his wife wanted to divorce him and she wouldn't have to prove anything because Calif law provides for "no fault divorce". If she wanted custody of the kid(s), she'd have to prove that he's an unfit parent, which shouldn't be hard.
Never thought I'd feel sorry for any of those Kardashians but I can't help sympathizing with the fool who married Kanye.

Rapper Kanye West successfully earned a spot on the Colorado ballot for November’s election, the Colorado Secretary of State’s Office said Thursday.
West’s name will appear on the Centennial State’s ballot, Secretary of State’s Office spokesperson Betsy Hart confirmed, in the rapper’s latest win in his efforts to earn a spot on several states' ballots.
Colorado requires presidential candidates to pay a $1,000 fee, submit notarized statements and receive support from nine electors who are registered to vote in the state, The Denver Post reported.
At least one Republican operative assisted West in his filing, which was completed Wednesday. His list of electors includes at least three registered Republicans, four unaffiliated voters and two registered Democrats, all from the Denver metro area, according to the newspaper.

I agree with this and I'm a person living with bipolar II disorder. I was diagnosed at age 16 and I'll admit that I did some shitty things as a teenager. My parents were quite proactive in making sure I had access to good doctors, therapists, meds, and support groups. I'm 35 now and for the past fifteen years or so I've been involved with local level support groups, NAMI, and other organizations. Most people I've met and have become friends are good people and have had their struggles . At this point, I've accepted that this piece of shit has already fucked up the election and we will get four more years of Trump. However, that could cause many people to finally turn against the Kartrashians and Jenners. If that happens and Kris gets pissed off enough, I wouldn't be surprised if Kanye is "suicided" out. Kanye probably has dirt on the Kartrashians, but Kris and Kim are probably bigger sociopaths than him and are probably ready to strike.

Yes, r107. Kanye is now styling himself as a religious figure and preaching at his own religious services. Guess who was all excited about attending one of them? The Duggar daughter and her equally bigoted pastor-wannabe husband who live in LA.
If Kanye has people like them in his corner, he's going to peel off voters from Trump regardless of how he affects Biden's votes.

I've never been a Kanye fan, but now I've come to loathe him and all his BS.
I don't understand why he hasn't been OUTED already. There are numerous sources about his years (decades now?) in the closet, his relationship with that male Italian designer, and others. This would be a perfect opportunity to take down someone who poses a threat to progressive- minded LGBT people and their causes.

It baffles me that this mental case is a Trump supporter. TRUMP HATES BLACK PEOPLE. Hates them. HATE.
Why does this jackass need more money and more attention? He's married to the world's richest whore - aside from Melania )who, after reading the excerpts from her book seems like a stone cold cunt with no shame whatsoever. She out-Denged Wendi Deng) and he's already famous. Does he really feel like being drawn and quartered for the rest of his life if Biden loses? What is his point here? Does Yeezy hate black people too? I really don't get this at all.

R134, he really IS crazy. I bet you have never known anyone with these problems - some people have a hard time understanding the reality and severity of true mental illness. He's fucked in the head, and those people only care about themselves. They have no time for anything but themselves and can't relate to the reality and needs of others.

I don't agree with that. Hating someone means actually expending the energy necessary to think about them. Trump doesn't think about people of color or gay people unless they are rich or wealthy. Trump cares about three things: celebrities, rich people, and Ivanka.
He is indifferent to everything, except what I mentioned above. That's why the job hasn't changed him or affected him in any meaningful way. If you notice the job hasn't really aged him. He looks exactly the same as he did 4 years ago. Most presidents at the end of their first team look like they've been through it, not Trump.
by Anonymous | reply 140 | September 1, 2020 1:46 PM |
R139, well, yeah. I don't think of Trump as being certifiable, I just think he is monumentally stupid and very poorly adjusted. But the only crazies I've known have been extra crazy, so I'm not an expert on the middle ground.

electoral-vote dot com (item 7)
It is very clear, at this point, that the primary purpose of Kanye West's presidential bid is to steal votes from Joe Biden, and thus to help West's friend Donald Trump get reelected. If the musician was solely interested in publicity, it wouldn't matter very much which or how many states he made the ballot in. However, West and his people have put in extraordinary effort in swing and swingish states like Virginia, Michigan, Wisconsin, and Arizona. The only reason to prioritize those is politics.
On Thursday, the musician saw two apparent victories turn into defeats. First, in Virginia, Circuit Judge Joi Taylor ruled that West obtained his submitted slate of electors through "improper, fraudulent and/or misleading means," and that he is therefore ineligible to appear on ballots in that state. A few hours later, Arizona state Judge Scott McCoy ruled that because West is registered as a Republican, state law does not allow him to run as an independent. So, he can't be on ballots there, either.
Thus far, West has only qualified for the ballot in 10 states: Arkansas, Colorado, Idaho, Iowa, Louisiana, Minnesota, Oklahoma, Tennessee, Utah, Vermont. Among those, the only one where he might plausibly have an impact is Minnesota. Iowa is also looking swingy this year, yes, but it's rather short on the demographic West is ostensibly targeting (the Hawkeye State is only 4.1% Black). The West "campaign" has lawsuits ongoing in Illinois, Missouri, Montana, New Jersey, Wisconsin, Ohio, and West Virginia. Among those, assuming he wins his suits, he might plausibly be a factor in Ohio and Wisconsin. There are also three states left where the ballot access deadline hasn't passed yet: Kentucky, Mississippi, and Rhode Island, none of them the slightest bit swingy.
West is an actual billionaire, with a net worth estimated at $1.3 billion. But, as Michael Bloomberg taught us earlier this year, having more money than Croesus can only take you so far. And, at this point, it's exceedingly likely that West's attempt to help his friend who probably isn't a billionaire is going to come up way short. (Z)

🚨BREAKING: Virginia Supreme Court REJECTS Republican lawsuit to get Kanye West on the ballot.
by Anonymous | reply 158 | September 17, 2020 10:20 PM |
Apologies if this is reported upthread but I just found out about it (dated Sept 14)
The Wisconsin Supreme Court kept the Green Party’s presidential ticket off the ballot Monday, disappointing party members but ensuring more than a million absentee ballots will be mailed by Thursday as required by state law.
by Anonymous | reply 159 | September 17, 2020 10:55 PM |
But...
Rapper Kanye West missed the deadline to appear on the Wisconsin presidential ballot by 14 seconds, and a judge has upheld the decision to keep him off the ballot.
Judge John Zakowski ruled in favor of the Wisconsin Elections Commission on Friday night, effectively keeping West off the ballot in the state. He had filed a lawsuit against the WEC over the previous decision to bar him from the ballot because his nomination papers were submitted 14 seconds after the 5 p.m. deadline on Aug. 4, according to the Green Bay Press Gazette….
Zakowski agreed that West was late in filing his paperwork, writing in the decision, “The court believes at the time a grandfather clock rings out five times is the moment it is 5 p.m. Any time after that is precisely that: after 5 p.m.
West’s campaign appealed the decision to the Supreme Court today. His prospects are not good, and perhaps now county election officials can get on with the job of getting mail ballots out before a hard federal deadline of September 19 for overseas and military voters. The reduced number of ballot lines competing for the non-Trump vote is probably good news for Joe Biden.

OP is too stupid to live. It doesn't matter what Kanye thinks he's doing. He is mentally ill, disorganized and most importantly, he has no actual backing. He cannot do any actual damage. Literally no one will vote for him, except for people as stupid as OP, and there are only four people that stupid in the US.

There'll still be idiots who will write Kanye in this November. But the spoiler effect will hopefully be nowhere the same if he were on the ballot.
[quote]Rapper Kanye West missed the deadline to appear on the Wisconsin presidential ballot by 14 seconds
So this was all about stalling the ballots mailing as much as possible and playing for time. I can't believe that if he wanted to be on the ballot, his reps aren't able to file before the deadline.

This fool has also been kept off of the Virginia ballot as well today. I seriously doubt that it will make one bit of difference in any state where he does make it on the ballot. Most black people I know think he’s a lunatic and wouldn’t vote for him for anything. Because the MAGAt tRumptards are idiots, it’s more likely that he peel off a few votes from Cheatolini.
