I really like his music and I am far from his demographic. I find him talented and charming. It is good to see an out gay man (he is mid 20s) writing songs about being gay. Stud is about body image among younger gay men. The EP was made during the pandemic and is impressive.

He also has a series of videos that show a relationship between two boys, from an earlier album, that’s very good. That is how I first heard of him. I am often clueless about current popular culture figures mentioned here but Troye is actually talented. It makes me wonder what or who else I am missing because I am ordinarily so resistant to current music.
