Sonia Darrin from The Big Sleep is dead to me!

Btw, she is also Mason Reese's mother!

Btw, I found out because her son (NOT Mason Reese, another son) posted about it on a film noir group I follow on facebook:

I am writing to inform you all that our mom, Sonia Darrin passed away last Sunday 7/19/20 in the afternoon. She was not alone as two of her sons were there holding her hands and telling her we loved her and we will miss her and thanking her for everything she did. In the end it was quick and peaceful but it started with a hip break almost a month ago. Then from hospital where we could visit to a nursing home where we could not visit. Trust me this was a horror. (This pandemic is kicking our hospitals asses and they need much more help from our government as possible and it’s clear they are not getting it.) Then thankfully medical issues brought her back to hospital where we could visit her once again. To those who wrote requesting autographs and did not get them I apologize as it was difficult for her but she was amazed and made very happy by your expressions of appreciation. she did not realize she was one of a kind. So thank you thank you thank you.

Here's a good interview with her when she was 92.

Sorry for my superfluous post.

Her last words:

"Well, so long, copper. Wish me luck. I got a raw deal."
