I loved Joan Allen in the 90s and early 2000s. What happened to her? She has very little activity listed on IMDb since 2015. Where did her career go? Is this an ageism issue?

She was in The Waverly Gallery on Broadway a few years back. I always liked her. However, onstage she conveys incredible depth and strength. In a show with really strong performances, she was one of my favorites.

I agree R4. It's a good movie, very good. Allen and Costner are both excellent in it and it has a surprising message about grief. One that took me back. Joan Allen is a great actress to be honest.
I love the Bourne movies too. Joan Allen was boss. She deserves a chance at some of the scenery that Diane Ladd and Patricia Clarkson are always chewing up. Allen has a different way with her art. Not necessarily better, but yeah, it is.

Agreed. She has an understated strength to her performances. Can border on icy but always strong. I miss her. One of my favorite actresses of past 30 years

She had a bad facelift maybe 12 years ago? Waaaay too tight. There was a photo of her at a premiere in which she truly looked like an alien visitor. That has since relaxed and she is back to her pleasant smile.

She is wonderful. Would always feel glad to see her name in the credits. You were assured good work. She stole The Crucible from Daniel. Her big scene was a tourdeforce.
