Obviously, I am a Ludite. I have a word document that I need to save as a PDF. The problem is that every time I save it as a PDF, the font changes. Is there a work-around?

Try printing the Word doc to PDF

Agree with R1, don't save, print it to PDF.
by Anonymous | reply 4 | July 26, 2020 12:26 AM |
Don't SAVE it, EXPORT it as a PDF file.

When you get to the print dialogue, there should be an option to "Save to" or "Save as" PDF. Choose that option and then you will be prompted to name it.

We don’t all use dumbed-down spelling, R8.

You must be new here R9.

Yes OP. Yes there is a way to do what you are looking for.
by Anonymous | reply 11 | July 26, 2020 1:36 AM |
OP can't even spell so there is that problem in any searches he makes to do what he is trying to do; plus the remedy he seeks is so elementary that it may not even be recorded on the internet anymore (Yes, Virginia, stuff gets deleted forever).

It's better to import a BDF

Worst. Thread. Ever.

How do I do this in WordPerfect? Do I need to buy software for this?
by Anonymous | reply 16 | July 26, 2020 1:44 AM |
OP if you really can’t get it to work try a program called CutePDF. It’s free and will print anything to PDF form, been using it for years
by Anonymous | reply 17 | July 26, 2020 1:45 AM |
Yes, CutePDF is awesome. I use in combination with FoxIt.
by Anonymous | reply 18 | July 26, 2020 1:46 AM |
OP, just get a cute geek to come over to your and help you; you may even get him to do the work naked.

Those saying to print to PDF are correct. I do it every day. It's not that difficult.

I am constantly fighting with Word. I think Word-douchement is the correct spelling.

R2, I miss Clippy. I deleted him and he never came back?
by Anonymous | reply 23 | July 26, 2020 2:07 AM |
Retard.
You have to embed the fonts.
by Anonymous | reply 24 | July 26, 2020 2:26 AM |
Thread ended.
by Anonymous | reply 25 | July 26, 2020 2:39 AM |
Actually I’m not, R10 - but my comment went way over your head.
by Anonymous | reply 26 | July 26, 2020 5:18 AM |
What a waste of a thread.

R3 and all your other posts - if anyone's a moron, it's you. Your contribution to DL has been a Meghan Markle thread? Lol. Yeahhhh, might want to refrain from any sense of superiority, dear.
by Anonymous | reply 29 | July 27, 2020 1:00 AM |
You have to have the font installed in order to embed the font in the pdf document.
by Anonymous | reply 30 | July 27, 2020 1:02 AM |
R29 fails again.
by Anonymous | reply 31 | July 27, 2020 1:03 AM |
OP must have Windows95
by Anonymous | reply 32 | July 27, 2020 1:04 AM |
OP types fat = R29.
by Anonymous | reply 33 | July 27, 2020 1:05 AM |
Like other posters have said, when you're in your Word document, click "Print." On the bottom left corner of the "Print" box, you'll see a "PDF." Click on that and click "Save as PDF." None of that is intuitive.

Miss OP is trying to access her AOL account, please wait while connecting
by Anonymous | reply 35 | July 27, 2020 1:46 AM |
AOL, fuck that's old.
by Anonymous | reply 36 | July 27, 2020 1:47 AM |
First, import your document to print shop. Save it using adobe distiller to remove the PostScript fonts.
Reopen the document in WordPerfect as “Simple Document”.
Remove any extra space at end of document and select “save as raw data”
Name the new file and save with extension .raw
Now reopen in paint and print to PDF.
