He’s married to a woman or has been, and has always seen women so I imagine it’s the usual wishful thinking. I’ve never seen anything to indicate he was gay. Isn’t he at death’s door?

He married his manager, who had such a friendly divorce from her ex-husband that she continued to live with her ex-husband while married to Randy.
So, yeah, marriage to his female manager definitely means he's heterosexual.
And that whole arrest thing was definitely heterosexual because he was drunk so it didn't count. Plus he wasn't wearing any pants. So, that means heterosexual, right? Driving around with no pants? Asking men for a cigarette while you're naked. Must have been fraternity prank.

Years ago a magazine got ahold of letters that a young man wrote who was corresponding with Randy Travis who he had met. It appeared that they had been very close, and yes, there have been gay rumors about him for years. His internalized homophobia, hiding, and drinking probably caused the serious problems he had a few years back.
