Recently transferred to a long term care facility after being in ICU for 4 weeks. Doesn't look good for her in the long term.
Sad news. I've always found her to be a wonderful and funny actress. She was great on Two And A Half Men.

This makes me sad. She's been a good working acgress for decades.
I was watching the movie "Network" last month and was surprised to see her in it, playing one of Faye Dunaway's employees.

Best remembered as “Shamu: The Killer Dyke” in My Fellow Americans.

A good, solid actor, always gave a fine performance. Wasn't she in "Mystic Pizza"?
Greatest role she ever played was a bitch lawyer from Hell on Tim Reid's sitcom "Frank's Place." She was going to the mat for an old family retainer(the incomparable Beah Richards) because of an incident at the titular restaurant. Mamie Eisenhower hat and brass balls, what a combination.

R6, I thought I was the only one who remembered that movie! I love it.
And I've always loved Conchata, and hope she'll make a miraculous recovery.

Is she related to Will?

I always thought they should do a spin off of Two and Half Men with Cohchata Ferrell as Taylor Hollands maid, they were the two best parts of that show and that is probably why they didn't.

One time during Hot L Baltimore, she was a guest on The $10,000 Pyramid.
The annoying prick Dick Clark asked her about herself.....[he called her "Chatty" as if they were the best of friends]. She said that as an out of work actor, she had applied to be a contestant on the show, but that she was denied because she was a member of the actor's union.....and now - here she was!
I think that rule has been changed and that's why we get some of the clowns and egotists we get now on Jeopardy, etc......

r21 They didn't allow actors union members because they'd have had to pay them.

Of course R23 -

There was a blind item years and years ago about an actor who, working with a social worker, would help a family in need get back on its feet. The actor would fund things and the social worker would work with them on housing, employment, etc. Supposedly the actor would work with a new family every year. The reveal was Conchata Ferrell.
