She was so pretty and a good actress too. She co-stared with Marlon Brando, Steve McQueen, Woody Allen. And died at 50 years-old.
I used to get her and Kim Darby mixed up.

Liked her in Annie Hall. "I have a headache, like Oswald in Ghosts"

She was married to Ted Wass, the dad on Blossom

I was just going to post that, OP/R1. It's the only Woody Allen film I can still watch with 100% pleasure.
Literally EVERY time I hear the phrase "Act Natural", I think "Apt Natural."

"David and Lisa"(1962) was a Frank Perry independent film that became an art house favorite in its day.
Janet starred with Keir Dullea. I've never seen it on any of the cable channels, not even TCM.

Adorable! Loved her Annie Hall. She was the liberal educated NY woman I wanted to be as a 13-year old boy.

TCM shows it but not very often. I wonder is Amazon Prime has it.

An early Jonathan Demme movie. Not great but not bad.

I watched DAVID AND LISA a year or so ago on TCM. She's pretty good, but Dullea gets on your nerves very quickly. It's no wonder he didn't really have much of a career. Noel Coward - who was in BUNNY LAKE IS MISSING with Dullea - quipped at the time "Keir Dullea, gone tomorrow."

She was a murder victim on Columbo. Andrew Stevens did it.

R12
No my dearest! Her "sister", the silly writer, was the murder victim. Allegedly killed twice by the murderer.
Columbo and Ms Margolin understanding it because the panties of the victim is worn with the tag on the right side and NOT the left side!!
Janet Margolin is still good-looking but fat, wearing a fringe and looking older than she was.

Did you know her, OP?
by Anonymous | reply 14 | July 16, 2020 9:22 AM |
R14 Unfortunately, no.
But I saw the Colombo episode last week and I was intrigued!
Her face was so pleasant and familiar.

And I was right she was the murder victim, right?
DL Fave Brenda Vaccoro was having an affair with Andrews Stevens and was a colossal bitch but had nothing to do with the murder.
Back then not a lot of people at 50 didn’t look good like they do now. Joan Collins set the standard.

I have been wanting to see David and Lisa to see if Janet does what Brittany Murphy does in the TV remake.

So pretty!

She was one of the many actresses who had to sleep with Woody Allen to get a part in his films. See "Take the Money and Run."

Good actress

Whenever we get the doppelganger threads that include Karen Allen and Margot Kidder and Jessica Walter and Brooke Adams I add Janet Margolin to the group.
