Who will be nominated? Who will host?
Will Naya Rivera be in the "In Memoriam"?

They will probably go without a Host again and it will be a lame year filled with Netflix and Hulu movies

Anyone who thinks there’s going to be an Oscars next year isn’t paying attention. We’ll be lucky if new movies can release before next spring.

The Invisible Man and The King of Staten Island are heavy favorites to sweep the awards.

I wonder if they would actually go so far as to present the Oscars virtually. Many other awards are doing it but this is, after all, the granddaddy of them all.

The Oscars proved this year how much of a sell-out they are when Parasite won all the awards, Brad Pitt won over Al Pacino, and Bombshell won VFX over The Lion King or Endgame.

Brad Pitt was my pick. He gave the most memorable and charming performance out of that bunch.

On the one hand, I think alot of people want something inane and pointless to think about. On the other hand, celebrities wearing clothing that could fund a hospital might be too embarrassed to attend. The Academy would go broke paying for the security and all the COVID-19 precautions.

Joan Crawford was the first actor to be presented an Oscar virtually.

Used to really look forward to the Oscars. Now I don't give a shit. Too woke for me.

G has her hillbilly movie coming out. If no other films are released this could be her year. Shame she'll have to have it mailed to her.

OP, what's with the knockoff Oscars? Couldn't you find photos of the real thing?

What movies are going to be nominated? What came out from Jan- March? Is it no longer the theatrical releases? Are streamed movies counting?
by Anonymous | reply 15 | July 13, 2020 10:02 PM |
Streamed movies that were originally planned as theatrical releases but changed to streaming due to the shutdown are eligible.

Hamilton is going to sweep obviously, with Elisabeth Moss winning best actress.
Poor Glenn. Even with no movies being released, she's still going to lose.

If I have my way, it will be ALL black nominees and winners! Screw population percentages and other minorities! Only OUR lives matter! Also, forget that almost every race has suffered some form of persecution and/or enslavement at some point in history! Will Smith deserved that nomination for Seven Pounds, dammit!
